It's obviously worth considering the standard of the league people are playing in, it's a massive step up to the Premierleague. Bigger clubs were beaten (like a PL team and Barca) on their way. I see your point but Diabys numbers are impressive even if its "just" the Bundes. We got out of jail with Joelinton at one stage we’d have been lucky to get 10 million back on him. The 2 deals Frankfurt did for Haller and Jovic look like daylight robbery, yet both those strikers we’re prolific in Germany. The other leagues such as France, Portugal and Holland have seen clubs get far greater value for money in last few years. Though not perhaps the premium we currently have for PL based players, the Bundesliga clubs certainly don’t sell on the cheap. I'm not saying don't sign anyone from Germany or even Scotland. But the German league aside from Bayern is poor so when looking at goal scoring or assists stats things will be skewed.
