Merih Demiral the latest name today.

Atalanta and Juventus loanee

More and more convinced we are looking for a partner for Dan Burn rather than one for Schar, and so will be looking for right footers now, like Demiral is. As have been a number of other centre back links of late like Saliba and Lacroix.

Hope we are keeping options open and looking for both

Need to build up our squad if we are looking for Europa league

Yeah, we'll probably get another CB that is initially more of a younger backup.

This Luka Sucic lad has the touch of the Haris Vuckics about him - tall, elegant, slightly slow. Would be good for a spanish side, not too convinced about how he'd do over here.

Apart from

Vukic had only played 5 times for Domžale in Slovenia (capacity 3,000) before we signed him

This guy has played 45 times for Red Bull Salzburg

Scored 9

Represented Croatia at every level and also scored in the champions league

His highlights make him look like younger Szoboszlai.

If we do sign Ekitike and decide we don’t need another striker. I’d like to see Munoz more involved with the first team and get a chance for obvious reasons but he’s playing in the same tournament as Ekitike right now and they play each other in the semi final. He scored in the last round and seems to be doing very well in a highly regarded youth tournament, maybe just took him some time to adapt over here and he’s still only 19.

My mother is mexican so I would also love to see him involved [emoji38]

Wasn't it just a 1 year loan with an option to buy for Muñoz though?

The two most concrete links have been Botman & Ake so seems a weird conclusion?

Also wary of Talbot linking Sucic. He linked Blas in January and it went nowhere and no one else picked it up at all.

Talbot is just a verified Sean Casey.

I guess I might well be wrong. I just wonder if linking those two is just a follow on from the January window.

Saliba, Lacroix and now Demiral have been linked recently, and they're all younger right footed centre backs, whereas we didn't see too many of those linked in January.

Guess we'll see what happens. Just caught my attention the recent links with more of these right footers.

We were bidding for Botman before we settled for Burn and if links are to believed we are still trying to sign Botman now, so we are almost certainly looking to upgrade Burn first instead of Schar.

Why can’t we just trying to sign more quality players instead of thinking upgrading who and who? We could have lots of injuries and our squad depth is thin as fuck

Well that’s exactly what are we doing, it’s just that we won’t sign Botman for £40m or whatever to sit on the bench as he would come in and be a starter. Burn would be providing the cover for his position.

Graeme Bailey on twitter reckons Botman has turned us down and will sign for Milan in couple of days.

Jacques Talbot (Never heard of him until yesterday but apparently was the first to report Bruno) reckons we are in talks with Eriksen.

Both on twitter but cba to embed them

Eriksen would be an amazing bit of business. Hope we’re not shooting ourselves in the foot by keeping to a strict wage cap though; if we’re truly wanting to compete with the big boys, we need to start acting like it especially  with deals like this.
