Isn't that the guy who's notorious for not getting anything right?!

Apparently he's head of football at BILD. \_(ツ)_/

So he's either going to take a ~£150-200k/week pay cut to join permanently or Chelsea are going to subsidise his wage by the same for a loan deal?

I actually think he would be a really good option - I think he'd fit in our system much better than he has Chelsea's - but it's a complete non-starter.

He's said it's true, and even put a green tick emoji on it. How could it not be true then?

Assuming Wilson is fit and we get a goal scorer in for when he is injured, where do play Werner?

Werner can play anywhere in the front three, so assume he would start at RW and then move central when Wilson is injured.

Not that it's happening anyway.

Because he wants to leave to be guaranteed games, so why would Chelsea accept a loan with option ?

I did ask if it was option or obligation. And if they didn't want him to leave that much they wouldn't let him, regardless of what he wants.

What other clubs would pay £300k a week for him. He either stays where he is, takes a big paycut or Chelsea subsidise his wages. If he doesn't stay, we've a chance.

I massively rate Werner from his time at Leipzig, and personally I don't think he's been as bad at Chelsea as people make out, so I'm all for a cheeky little loan deal for him as long as Chelsea pay 75% of his wages

So we’d stick him on the right in place of Fraser and a better version of Almiron? Would be a very expensive option. I do agree it’ll not happen.

He’s absolutely levels above Almiron.

Werner would be massive for us. If it’s at all possible we should be all over it.

He’s never fitting our wage structure but he’d be the perfect long-term successor and striker for our project.

If we signed him and got a winger on loan it would be an unbelievable window.

I mean this is just nonsense.

If you took away his pace he isn’t  much of a footballer imo. Hasn’t got a soft 1st touch which I think is detrimental to a forward’s game.

Also rarely hits a ball cleanly in game situations.
Personally, I watched loads of him when he was at Leipzig and wasn’t much impressed.

That doesn’t make me a football oracle or owt, just my tuppence.
