Nowt against him. No lack of effort in his time here but without looking up his stats and taking away his penalties I can barely remember him scoring 3 goals in black & white.

People forget that a part of it was also a panic buy to weaken Burnley (who ended up buying the Dutch Chris Wood instead) in the relegation battle as we activated his release clause, rather than a long term investment, he was always a short term pawn.

He was always a good lad. Was he fully fit when playing for us? Struggle to reconcile the version we saw yesterday with the version that played all of our matches. His confidence was through the roof yesterday

He couldn't handle the pressure of playing for us, in front of 52,000 disappointed fans every time he missed a chance. He's not the first striker to turn to shit in our colours and won't be the last.

 

At times for us he struggled to control a football, yet he looked like Prime R9 against our defence. Go figure

He did want more game time which is what Forest offered him and a longer contract.

It was weird, when he left Howe pretty much said in the following presser that we were looking to replace him. Didn’t in that window or the following one.

Amazing the difference the right setup can make to a player. Just didn't quite fit ours.
