Anyone mentioning Steve Bruce in the same sentence as Eddie fucking Howe, unless the sentence is "Eddie Howe is (arguably) the best manager we've ever had whilst Steve Bruce was a fat, useless wanker" is a cunt

Just saying.

Man U supporting brother already gloating about the prospect of this, so would be absolutely sickening if this happened

Him leaving in general would be awful but if it has to happen then let it be abroad

That would be easily the most depressing transfer of all ffs. And certainly help confirm our owners 'ambitions' are a load of bollocks.

The only thing that could make it worse is if our owners bought one of their dross players off them to help facilitate the transfer.

If it helps, INEOS are never paying £100m+ for a 28 year old.

I'm sure we're interested, and he might be too, but I can't see this happening.

Has anybody ever seen TyneBridge1990 and Alex Bruce in the same place at the same time? I'm just asking the questions!

Real? Barely, barely tolerable but at least you can understand it.

Man U? For what? For what possible reason? Past glory you'll never be a part of? Being coached by anyone other than Howe? Winning... winning what exactly? They're favourites for nothing [emoji38]

Some moves you can begrudge and understand, but if the choice was to remain a legend here or become a nobody overshadowed by the class of 92, Ronaldo and ownership headlines, I know which one any sane person would choose.

(Unless of course you just want more money, in which case I sure am glad that PSR is working as intended)

I think this summer is a bit of a crossroads for the owners, the team could potentially get ripped apart, or do they build on what we have, European football will probably pay a big part

Some of our fans/people in general need to be put down tbh. Nowt wrong with being a bit thick, but it being paired with 'everyone needs to hear my amazing and intelligent opinions' is fucking unbearable.

This post is a bit detached from reality with all due respect.

Why Man United man. Come on.

I’m sure Romano has tried to publicly stir up transfer rumours with at least 4 of our players now and it isn’t even the end of the season.

I get it, you've got to stick up for your team, but nothing I said was untrue. They're a legacy club, although admittedly doing well in the league now. For some players, I see the appeal. For Bruno, in his context, unless it's money it doesn't make a lick of sense.

I think almost everything you said was untrue to be honest. You can't call us a legacy club when we've more trophies in our "banter" era than the vast majority of English clubs.

You know enough about Bruno's character. Don't you think he'd see himself as a missing piece?

Of course if a side like Barcelona or Real Madrid come in for him then we wouldn't have much chance.

It’s inevitable they’ll be able to compete properly again with all of the gatekeeping around clubs like them. Protect the product etc.

As froggy often points out even during this down period they still won trophies under the bald Dutchman.

That said I don’t think they’ll pay what’s required and id like to naively believe, with previous Bruno sound bites, when he leaves it’s out the PL.

We've finished 7th, 4th, 5th, 6th, 2nd, 6th, 3rd, 2nd, 6th, 3rd, 8th, 15th (:anguish:) and are currently in 3rd.

In that period we've won two FA Cups, two League Cups and the Europa League. Two more Europa League finals as well.

Just think it's a bit silly to suggest that's a legacy club that nobody would want to join. But yes, also we aware we pay good money too.

At this stage in his career if he wants to go to Man United then it's basically for one last big pay day . He would obviously throw away his legacy here if he did force a move but that's how football is now, it's all about money . The fact we could give him a last big payday but aren't allowed to is a disgrace.

Hold your tadpoles there, Froggy [emoji38]

Can an argument be made that Man U trades on its legacy to make a better spin on the reality of the here and now? Absolutely.

And howeh, I didn't say nobody wants to join them. I explicitly pointed out that for some players I see the appeal, I just don't see it for Bruno (our Bruno, not yours).
