City ITK thinks Bruno is their number one target, they don’t want to pay the release clause. Instead they will offer Phillips and Bobb on loan as part of the deal 😂

Nee cunt wants Fatty Phillips. Only way out would have been back to Leeds if they’d been promoted.

I'd love Oscar Bobb on a permanent deal tbh. No idea how good he is but he has such a happy sounding name

There’s not a single player at city I want to soften the blow of him going there in some part ex deal. No thanks. Not even Phil Foden. I’m that fucking mad I know.

The good news is that in order to get this deal City are offering 200m.

Why would anyone who isn’t a peasant from the hills of Kentucky or Ogre from Revenge of the Nerds go to Florida on holiday? I’m dreading spending another month there for work  in July.

Disney man. He has kids.

 I wasn't cool with going to Florida even when they dangled Disney when I was a kid. An ex-con in a Goofie suit couldn’t make up for having to leave Hawaii for that fever swamp for two months every year.

What can you say about Bruno Guimaraes?

He is the Newcastle United talisman, he is the heartbeat of the team.

In the 2023/24 season just gone, we could add another massive credit.

Bruno Guimaraes was also the legs of the Newcastle United team.

Indeed, across the entire Premier League, Bruno ran further than any other player, in any top tier team.

An incredible 263 miles (423 km), which doesn’t include Champions League and domestic cups.

Bruno Guimaraes started 37 Premier League matches, missing only one after picking up five bookings and a one match suspension.

He also started all six Champions League games, started all four FA Cup matches, whilst in the League Cup the Brazilian started one and came off the bench the other two, in the three games.

So in total, Bruno Guimaraes playing in 50 of Newcastle’s 51 matches last season, starting 48 of them, off the bench in two more.

Just to complete the picture, from June 2023 onwards, Brazil have had 10 matches in the last 12 months, Bruno Guimaraes came off the bench in the first of those on 17 June 2023 and then started all of the other nine.

This Saturday, Bruno Guimaraes and Brazil are set to take on Mexico in a warm up game for the Copa America tournament, the equivalent of the European Championships.

So how has/does Bruno Guimaraes do it?

Not only a brilliant player but also a seemingly non-stop near indestructible one.

Over in Brazil, Globo Esporte have spoken to some of those close to Bruno Guimaraes, who have revealed the secrets behind the player’s extraordinary fitness and playing stats.

Felipe Neves is Bruno’s fitness coach:

“There are players and there are athletes.

“Bruno is an athlete.

“He is extremely dedicated, fulfils what the professionals around him demand and sacrifices a lot of his personal time to do so.

“This includes a gruelling training routine, daily recovery and strict nutritional monitoring.

“All the food he eats on a daily basis is weighed and he doesn’t drink alcohol.

“Bruno always wants to do everything in the best possible way and always with excellence.

“He’s always at the coach’s disposal, which means he runs more.

“His position and role in the team also contribute.

“He’s that player who plays from box to box.

“He’s always moving around, he’s really everywhere on the pitch the whole game.”

Eduardo Rauen is Bruno’s nutritionist and sports medicine specialist, also hired by the Newcastle United star to help him with his fitness:

“We started working out before the World Cup in Qatar.

“Bruno arrived with 13% body fat and went to the World Cup with 3.9%.

“With a little more muscle, a lot less fat, a little lighter and stronger.

“So he gained more speed and was able to cover more distance.”

As the saying goes, the harder you work the luckier you get.

Or in the case of Bruno Guimaraes, only due to this total dedication, was he able to give so much to Newcastle United in such a difficult season, as Eddie Howe missed so many players for so many matches.

If Sandro Tonali and Joelinton can play the vast majority of this coming season alongside Bruno Guimaraes, who knows what Bruno and Newcastle United might achieve…

Our talisman, our heartbeat 🖤🤍
