Away Toon
Auteur d’une bonne saison avec Newcastle United, Bruno Guimarães pourrait partir durant ce mercato estival. Lors de son transfert en 2022, l’OL avait réussi à négocier un intéressement de 20 % sur une éventuelle plus-value.

If we don't get CL football I fully expect him to leave next Summer. And wouldn't begrudge the lad at that point. Genuinely one of the best in the world in his position and will be 27 by then. It would be time. Now if we get CL I could honestly see him wanting to stay here the rest of his career. Or at least till he goes back to retire in Brazil. Jaqen
Everyone is celebrating but it's much more likely if he goes that we'd sell him under the £100m clause IMO.

Dont think he wants to leave, and we wouldn't well him for less than the clause anyway. Him and Isak are our crown jewels, it will be very hard for anyone to convince us to sell either of them

Yes and if he was sold for let's say 60m then to me it just proves the club intended to sell him and only put a clause in to get maximum value. gjohnson
Not sure how the expiry of this clause is a good thing. Just means that if any offers come in they'll be total pisstakes rather than starting at a minimum of 100. Wouldn't be remotely surprised to see Arsenal coming in with an offer of 30m and thinking we have to accept if for pissing stupid rules

Imagine the depression if we sell him for like 60/70 mil or so now?
Nine
Expiry of this clause potentially opens the door for a lower transfer fee offer than the clause but with a massive increase in wages than he’s on here, the media will rinse this til the end of the window. Anything can still happen. Edited June 25, 2024 by Nine
GideonShandy
It's obviously a good thing. If a 100 million offer had come in we would have had to let Bruno go if he wanted. Now we can tell Arsenal or anyone else to bugger off regardless of whether they offer 30 million or 300 million and whether he wants to leave or not. Now we decide what he will cost, and it won't be anywhere near £30m.
