Eddie Howe.  Tactics were spot on.  Player wise I thought Issak and Lewis Hall were the stand outs.

Great little piece in the Guardian. Some may be triggered at Liew's namedropping of the Saudis and the negative connotations of the shithousery but I think it's a good read

I hope he never leaves. Isak has a higher ceiling but Bruno leaving would be the most gutting by far.

I couldn't pick a single player whole team was magnificent - Tonali, Isak, Gordon, Trippier, Botman the list goes on.

I suspect that if one of the top players are sold to raise cash in the summer it’ll be him. It would be a bummer but he’s at his peak value and probably the easiest (not that it would be a piece of piss) to replace. Before I get pelters for this, I would be sad to see him go but a big fee for someone who will start to lose financial value (fucking weird talking about a human like that) might make sense. Selling at the right time is as important as buying at the right time.

Absolutely awful source, but thought it was quite an interesting discussion point. Is it worth doing to remove the clause in his contract?

I thought the clause was only valid last season? Either way it wouldn’t bother me if we kept it in. No one is paying 100 million for him (I think that was the price).

Read that too, but no idea where.

Yeah definitely a shout for Lewis Hall, considering he had to wait and wait, its absolutely evident that he's listened, learned, and prepared himself to take that role, he's definitely one of the most consistent this season, and he's really committed to the role, and striving to improve each week.

Love him.

Do this. Bruno will be elite well into his 30s.

Looked like he enjoyed that kind of chaotic football. He has he brain and technique to move the ball very quickly so I doubt he felt the pressure some of our players did.

If we are looking for positives to take from this game, at least Man City will have dropped out of the running for his signature after today.

He was crap today, yet again.

They dropped out as soon as they signed Gonzalez. More natural transfer for him now would be Barcelona / Real because they’re crying out for a CDM who can progress the ball long term.

Him tracking back has never been his good point, we all know this for the past 24 months. Guy has little pace but also not the awareness to sniff out danger before it happens so can be one step ahead to make up the pace which true CDMs have. He’s more of an advanced CM that’s over time ended up playing deeper, and as a result will be exposed to weaknesses more in a side that has no pace at the back to deal with transitions.

Giving him a faster defence and with two more players (CM/RW) that can receive the ball in tight spaces, he’ll become a better player.

I think that Bruno was better in his first season here than what he is now. He used play some delightful passes on a regular basis but these days he seems more obsessed with trying to win free kicks. I don't know if this coincides with him being made captain, something else that doesn't seem to suit him

As much as people slate maxi, he had an understanding with him in the early days, much the same way isak likes Murphy in the team.

I think sometimes of late he can play with a cigar in his mouth

a bloke near me clearly knows that when brunos shot I give him stick. He constantly shakes his head after I shout " bruno pass it " or " bruno your to slow".  i just wish he would concentrate on what he is good at rather than try to take defenders on believing hes pele

And to top it of the rescue dog i've just got is called Bruno but im thinking of changing his name to Longstaff - you think he'll accept the change??
