It’s far easier to be angry and resent someone that you don’t know and haven’t been friends with.

The players will also know how crucial he was to helping the club win first trophy, qualify for UCL etc. so they can let the few games slide now it's all in the past.

Bigger things to focus on now and that will be what Howe will have communicated to them all before they went away. Essentially, telling players "Nothing nice to say, don't say anything". Which giving the amount of players who have said nothing, is telling,

I'm stunned at how tone-deaf some of our players are coming across on this topic... Never would have expected BDB to air this kind of viewpoint.

Fair play if you were mates and see the business side of things through a different lense than the fans do, but Isak absolutely fucked you, jeopardised team success (and thus potential future pay days), belittled the club and shat on its fans.  That should be acknowledged by someone who supposedly represents Geordie pride.

Very telling that Bruno hasn't said anything. I reckon he was livid.

The same Bruno that posted publicly that he wanted Isak to play and that he was our best player a few weeks back?

Honestly lads man come on. What's he supposed to say. Even if he felt some resentment he's not gonna tear into Isak at an England press conference. Some of these young lads are showing much more maturity than this board ffs. He's a fuckin cunt who has ruined his legacy so we now concentrate on the boys that want to play for us. Dan Burn's attitude and application can never be questioned either. Clearly some of this 'changing room are livid' was just bullshit. I don't think I could get mad at a pal who wanted to better himself. Even if it made my job a bit harder for a while.

I absolutely despise the way he's gone about things but I'm now just happy he's not part of our tight knit squad anymore.

I'm nowhere near angry at BDB, think it's normal to say goodbye and give thanks and I think it's right, I'm sure we will eventually do the same (??!) but it does please me that some players might be just as angry as us :)
