The word "Meh" comes up a lot. with the benefit of hindsight of course, but going “meh” is especially funny with the context that he was replacing Ciaran fucking Clark

Just highlights that prediction is a very difficult task, particularly when it involves the future.
The College Dropout
Burn has been better than anyone could imagine. Decent chance he goes to World Cup 2026. Not a single soul would've had that back in 2023 or whenever he joined.
Coffee_Johnny
Out for six weeks with a broken rib and punctured lung. ‘Aye gaffer, I can step in to a patched-up defence and do 90+ minutes away to the European Champions.’ What a fucking man he is.
Benwell Lad
3 hours ago, RobS said: I think Trips has to be included in that group as well mind - took a massive gamble, and has been phenomenal on the pitch and offered no doubt untold experience and knowledge to the group off the pitch as well since he joined. The one that started it all imo. I remember his first game, albeit a home cup defeat to Cambridge but his quality just stood out like a beacon and I thought that we just hadn't signed players like that in a long time. From La Liga champions to rock bottom Newcastle as well. What him, the new management team and Bruno did to keep us up that season was phenomenal and still arguably our biggest achievement to date in the new era. Kanj
Proir to Trips and even Burn that first season he played fullback, we had some really awful fullbacks over the recent years. Manquillo was the most decent one at times.

kenlau88210
I think he played fairly well last night at LB. Often see him tuck in in a back 3 with Trippier further forward like how we operated in the 22-23 season. As usual, he is mostly very solid defensively. pinkeye
He was skinned twice in the first 10 minutes, if we were playing a better side than Spurs that would surely have meant we would have been two goals down. By skinned I mean he may as well have not even been there he was so far away from the pace. I have no idea why Spurs did not exploit their right more last night, Burn and Botman have so little pace that Spurs could have had a field day! I do quite like Burn in a back three with wing backs. Was thinking this would happen when the teams came out. So yeah, surprised they didn't try it more. Wouldn't like to see BDB in that position vs any decent opposition. Ginola14
when he got booked I was having Brentford away flashbacks luckily Spurs were too shit to exploit that I guess Hall needed a rest and he did well overall in a difficult position for him
