He's definitely going to end up being one of those defining players people (as in everyone, not just Newcastle fans) think about in 10-20 years when they think back about this era of the PL.

He can do whatever he wants for the rest of his life and he will always be adored by everyone that loves this club. He wanted it more than anyone else on the pitch, what an incredible man

Pleased for him regarding England but I don't like the idea of him playing internationals regularly at 32 😂

“Dan Burn has today retired from International football, citing his desire to win the fkng lot at Newcastle as the reason for his decision”.

He is just an insanely likeable bloke. Really does just seem ‘normal’ in comparison to a lot of footballers. Just living the dream.

Said on here I was stood next to Burn’s Dad at Chelsea and spoke to him a bit. Seemed a sound bloke and easy to understand why Dan seems like a top man based on my brief chat with his old man.

Got a couple of mates who support Wigan. Yes, really  They still adore Burn. They were buzzing yesterday. Because of BDB and because it’s Liverpool!

He mentioned something I think is a big deal for Newcastle.

We have a fairly old squad but it's a bit of an advantage. A lot of our squad players are older and proper good pros who want to be part of our success. Dubs has had his ups and downs but this season you can tell he has the bit between his teeth and his attitude has been phenomenal - he took his opportunity this season in a way he didn't last season. Lascelles, Krafth have both hit the ground running when brought into the side and seem like great figures in the dressing room. And then we've got the older regular players like Burn, Schar, Bruno etc. that set the level. There's a great culture for the likes of Hall and Osula to learn from and be a part of.
