That best side finished 4th the season before and were in a bit of a mess.

And?  You're calling him a tactical mess across his whole career which he isn't.

Harsh to use that to criticise Pep. What Klopp has done at Liverpool is ridiculous, two best sides in Europe ATM.

Didn't say that,Just saying he doesn't deserve the credit the likes of Sir Alex,Wenger,Tunchel,Sir Bobby the list goes on...He was shit in his first season and has to spent more then countries do to improve

City didn't seem to be in the right mindset at the start.

I was very surprised when Guardiola said after the Atletico game that the team was in 'big trouble'. That's hardly the stuff to inspire the troops. LIverpool have been chasing them down and he sounded like someone who was under pressure.

One hesitates to question the great man, but Grealish and Sterling together didn't seem right either.

Sterling just had a terrible game, alongside Zinchenko and Steffen. Thought most of the rest of them were ok or just got massively outplayed by a fired up Liverpool side. Credit to Klopp for always getting his players up for each and every game

:lol: He has a win percentage over 72% in the 3 best leagues in the world. He won 3 titles in a row with Barcelona, then Bayern and has won 3 out of 4 with City. 9 domestic cups in those leagues. He's won the Champions League twice.

He has also created the greatest team of all time, revolutionised the game from a tactical point of view, improved players where ever he has a been.

re his Barca team - that was a pure Pep creation as you say - he basically introduced Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Pique (and Messi) to the world - was a thing of beauty

In terms of the impact on the game of football, no doubt about it. But whether it is correct or not, there will always be a working class "Did he really earn it" aspect to how managers are evaluated in football. He needs a "against all odds, how did he pull that off" managerial achievement on his CV - "Sir Alex at Aberdeen, Wenger at Arsenal, Rafa at Valencia and Istanbul, Klopp at Dortmund, Mourinho at Porto". Not that he needs that but until he has that, that will always be used against him by his detractors.
