I watched the second half of the game, and Haaland barely got a kick. City will have to adjust to get the best out of him. They've gone from playing without a striker to playing with a centre forward - albeit a very good one.

There were times when it felt like they had 10 men, and LIverpool were swarming all over them.

I've been saying this since they signed him.

He's not a City type player, I thought the same about Grealish and I've been proved right so far. Not what they needed and hideously overpriced.

I'd have kept both Sterling and Jesus and spent the Grealish/ Haaland money elsewhere.

Of course  they'll probably both go on to break records at City now [emoji38]

Sterling will be a big miss for them. He always delivered when it mattered and was consistently effective.

Haaland is just what City have been missing, to my mind. He’ll have a decent first season. I actually have a sneaking suspicious that Alvarez will have an even better one.

Pep should roll them out in a four-four-facking-tyew. Bet he won’t, the coward.

Not asking to be a cunt but genuinely is the womens football worth watching ?

I’ve not really followed much of it but might get on the gravy train tonight …

@HTT II I know you’ve been on it what do you think - is the level of football comparable to mens or like a different sport  ?

It’s a decent level, but don’t expect PL or CL standard football. It’s a fun watch and a massive occasion, so give it a watch. It’s England vs Germany after all!

Aye - that’s what I’m watching for - same if the England Rugby team made it to the final etc , I’m not an avid rugby watcher but would enjoy the occasion

I struggle watching any other sport these days apart from footy, but I’ve been enjoying the Commonwealth games, but mainly because I know a few taking part/running it etc.

It’s been a really exciting tournament. There’s a comparison to be had with tennis (where I think the women often provide more entertaining matches), there are differences but it has felt very wholesome and less edgy. Went to one of the live games and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Canny game in the Dutch Supercup. Ajax 3-4 PSV, quite fancy the latter to win the league this season.

I watched the highlights of this yesterday and I finally understand why the Dutch league is such a mixed bag to pick up players from. Half of the goals were comical. It could have just been the Ajax keeper who was absolutely shocking, but some of the defending was also terrible.

Just switched this on. Is Clark playing on the right of a back 3? Feels like trouble if so.

Booked after 20 minutes [emoji38]

I've honestly never heard of Watford's manager.
