8 wins in the last 22

And still comfortably 4th. Utterly trash league, worst I can remember. I recall looking at the table a couple of weeks back and the team in 15th place was only about 3 points from the play-offs.

Edit - all the way down to QPR in 14th, it's only a 5 point gap to 6th

It's not the worst idea tbh. One way of getting the younger generation to grow up Sunderland supporters. Plus a quid is better than fuck all.

They’ve just ensured that younger generation doesn’t want to go near the place again

Pretty much guaranteed playoffs already even with 12 games to go as they're 14 points clear of 7th but 8 behind top 2 having played more games as well

Knocking bet to end up in the play-off final, hopefully get Burnley and lose 1-0 with 2 more missed pens

Gate receipts of £37.50

This is the thing they'll either never get, or just never admit.

Number of bums on seats (as we've found too) isn't proportional to revenue. And if they charged £45 for adults and £25 for kids like most clubs in that league, and reported attendances correctly, they'd be lucky to get 20k in.

Knock the mackems for whatever you want but them keeping ticket prices low is an odd thing to mock them for.
