[emoji38][emoji38][emoji38][emoji38] Absolute classic

I was wondering where the goalposts were going to be shifted to next after the previous desperations

one more seat

north east top dogs

result in the derby all that matters

they'll still win nowt

Do they apply the same standard to themselves - so effectively nothing that do means anything as they're never going to achieve what they've set out for us. They have no qualms at throwing themselves and their own club under the bus to try and devalue anything we do.

I've just seen that. What the fuck would they know about atmosphere?

They play in a dilapidated morgue ffs.

They're gonna be crying for weeks after our win man.

This from the lot who couldn’t even sell their allocation at Wembley against Charlton, showing themselves up as bitter small time cunts yet again.

They way they obsess and lie over the subject so much, I often wonder if it got added on to their attendance.

If I was a mackem I'd just want to hide for the next few months. Wonder how Wee Phillies cup winning party went at Cosy Joe's. Hope we was in there with a face like a smacked arse. Anybody would think I didn't like the bloke.

Therefore, to see our identity increasingly encroached upon and threatened by a rival that treats us and our city with contempt is problematic for most of us, because it constitutes a denial of who we are and what is important to us. The same trend plays out in global politics, Russia denies the Ukrainian identity, certain peoples in the Middle East deny each others, and so on. The force of belonging is a powerful one, and thankfully as noted it is only a sport and we have moved beyond violence, yet it matters so dearly many to us.

Off his tits.

Aye, amazing that he goes on about the threat of a Geordie culture, which is apparently only new to overtake the Mackem culture.

What you mean that Mackem culture that has only been created in recent generations? The one where your football club created a whole new nickname for themselves, dropped a popular traditional club badge for one that look warily similar to Newcastle United’s?

The Mackem culture where the word Mackem is relatively new, created originally by Geordies to differentiate the two areas/sets of people on the back of their manufacturing industry and accent, which they picked up themselves.

That Country Durham city that only became a city in the early 2000’s, a city that went from a small town to a large town and city on the back of the Industrial Revolution, and has now shadowed over the original County Durham city, Durham.

That city that in recent years has made a name for itself on the national and international stage for it notable lurch to the right in politics.

The fact is, Sunderland has became more visible in the public eye in recent years, and is increasingly becoming so, and not for all the right reasons either.

I think when I wrote that, it technically hadn’t been 24 hours.

Well now it is.

Fucking horrific trophy drought this. When will we ever win anything again?

So a random Sheffield Wednesday fan sees his team lose to their bitter rivals at home, and one of the first things he does after is to sign up to a Sunderland forum, to largely make a post having a pop at us with the same stuff they all say on there.

Why do they do this man [emoji38] it's so weird making fake accounts.

Seen him blamed for 9/11 as well.

They are like little bairns telling each other stories and lapping everything up, believing it as fact. They’re incredible and any decent scientist looking to study the human brain should look into their behaviours.
