There are some reasonable responses from SAFC fans on their to be fair.

What I don't like is the comment by the OP who says "these new players clearly just 'get' the club and the city".

I hate this football cliché about players "getting" a club, what the **** does this actually mean? How does Nordi Mukeleli putting in a decent defensive shift have any connection to his understanding of the city of Sunderland?

If he truly did have any knowledge of what that city was all about he wouldn't go within 100 miles of it.

Did they completely ignore yesterday’s result in the biggest competition in world club football? Seem to gloss over facts when it suits. 😂. Aye the season hasn’t really started in the PL yet for our lot, but that’s not to say it won’t and theirs won’t fall off a cliff. Thick cunts.

The really tough question is whether we want them to win on Saturday or not?

It's a really easy question. Man Utd to win. Buys Amorim more time to fuck things up for Man Utd long term while hurting our rivals in the short term.

Sunderland will unfortunately win, the've built well and seem a solid unit. Good for them. Still think we should just ignore them, feel a bit of a shrug about them now.

Aye, watching us in the Champions League last night. They’ve never had that, it’s insane.

They are playing Man U?

I'd assumed it was Liverpool hence the apparent dilemma. And the answer would stil be no. x 1000

I feel the same , obviously want them to struggle but even with how well they have started it hasn't even bothered me .We have won a cup and are back in the champions league again, they will never experience any of that.

The best they can do really is finish mid table and hope to scrape a win in the derby but that's as good as it's ever going to be for them. Under Ashley it was all about beating and finishing above them as he dragged us down to such a bad level but now we have far bigger fish to fry.

The really sad thing is that he's probably right.  It doesn't say a lot for the quality of their other players in the last few decades.

This is the problem , they want to compare themselves to us all the time but the fact they are saying Xhaka is one of the best players to ever play for them sums up the difference. He's a good player but if you are doing a combined Newcastle Sunderland best 11 of the last 30 years he probably wouldn't even make the bench

Fuck off man! 3-0 to Man Utd and that scoreline will flatter the mackems. They are getting stuffed big time. You can't expect the opposition to have 20+ shots at every game and nick it 1-0. It's every game man.

People wanted them to win the play off final so there’ll probably be people wanting them to win on Sat too.
