Geogaddi
One win in seven league games since they beat us, it was two shite teams that day but it shows how much it takes it out of them beating us.

Pilko
They were furious Shearer didn't talk about them on MOTD after they beat Palace the other week, so hopefully they're happy tonight that he did a good two minute analysis piece on how fucking shit they looked today. Chicken Dancer
One things for sure - our resident mackems won’t be here this weekend. Stick your mortgage on them showing up a week on Tuesday if they beat Burnley and especially if we lose at Anfield on Saturday.

If we suffer a heavy or heartbreaking defeat today. They’ll resurface from their standing water.
Gola
Sunderland are done. Been lucky all season, the descent has started now. They'll finish midtable, and deservedly so. Next season, probably get relegated.
joeyt
They've got Burnley at home next week so I wouldn't be too confident about them descending
ramirez
Looking at likely promoted sides its only Ipswick or maybe Wrexham in play offs with a big investment, who would have any chance of staying up.

They’ll drop off second half of season as fatigue sets in and teams figure them out. I don’t see how they’re suddenly certs for relegation next season but it will be much harder for them. They’ll lose a few of their starters and have to re-invest again. We owe them one at st James, they only beat us due to an own goal ffs
Dokko
Burnley is the kind of game they'll go all cocky into thinking they just need to show up and somthign else happens. If so, they'll fall off a cliff and the toxic fans will be out in force again. Still, it's been a great season for them and it's pretty much job done. Test of character for the players and the fanbase really. The debate before the season would have been "would you rather stay up or beat the mags" and it looks like they're going to have achieved both with a little over half the season gone. It'll be interesting to see what they do in this window, will they look to add to the squad from a position of strength?
Optimistic Nut
Those draws over Christmas to the likes of City & Arsenal plus the Palace win has given them enough to stay up. 28 points and I reckon they'd be in trouble.

I'd imagine further investment pushss them to the limits of psr, if not there already. They'll have a few offers in the summer for their break out players. They need to maximise their return and go again. Always more difficult to do that 2nd season.
Benwell Lad
Really undisciplined. They constantly harangue referees over every decision and were very lucky not to have a player sent off before half time yesterday for a stupid challenge. Then one of their players petulantly shuns his management and team mates when he's subbed. Whatever the circumstances of the Xhaka flare up, he's a senior professional footballer FFS, you don't get involved with knackers in the crowd and certainly don't rise to them and start offering them a fight. That would be considered "unprofessional" in the Northern League man Edited January 25 by Benwell Lad

And it takes him to the end of his contract… been a fantastic servant, lived the dream by captaining his hometown club back to the Premier League after breaking in at our lowest point. You’ll see a good portion of our lot who didn’t rate him just say ‘good riddance’ and they’ll all be wrong. He is a top end Championship/lower Prem level midfielder. The contract situation isn’t anyone’s fault, a situation bore of circumstance… he was on League One wages and knew he could get more, we went up, signed better, and couldn’t give him the deal he probably deserved. I wish the lad well. At times he was brilliant. Bit loose in possession occasionally and probably a bit too slow for this league but if he’d signed a new deal I wouldn’t have been against him starting last weekend. Club just progressed quicker than he did.

Optimistic Nut
If they lose they'll finish around 16th I reckon, which would still be a big success. I've watched all 3 promoted clubs and Leeds look the better team even though the points don't back it up. Edited January 28 by Optimistic Nut

And aren't most of his family black and whites?
