I think Zaha would make a great addition to the squad, he’s actually the most fouled player in the PL so he would be useful when trying to relive pressure

This Zaha fandom is so bizarre to me

He's probably the most fouled player because everyone knows fouling him gets him rattled and throws him off his game. He'd be an awful signing.

I mean it seems hyperbolic but by any metric he’s been absolutely horrendous.

Just the eye test alone, I haven’t seen a worst first touch since Adam Campbell.

Have to agree. Tried sticking up for him, but he just gets worse every game. It's amazing the run we have put together really, despite him up there. you are right, his first touch is abysmal. We are where we while carrying him along, which is an unbelievable achievement. Would have been really interesting to see some of our scorelines with either Wilson or someone a little more competent up there. Think wilson would have grabbed a fair few in this set up.

Miggy's celebration after he jumps over the advertising hoardings, has definite shades of Maradona at USA 90

1994 no? Pretty sure 90 was Italy.

Otherwise totally agree :)

Yet when we take Wood off we seem to lose our shape and get pinned back even easier. He’s been fine for the half season we’ve needed him and seems to fit the team ethos which is vital when he spends time next season on the bench as according to GC the owners have confirmed he will be here next season “100%”.

We’ll sell him to championship club with a year left on his contract and he’ll leave with our good wishes just like Daryl Murphy did after the Championship promotion season.

Don’t really agree. The only times he has come off,  we have been up against it already. That didn’t happen because he came off. He seems a lovely fella, but as a footballer his best days are long behind him. We have done amazingly well with him in the team, not because he is in the team. Don’t think he has offered anything different to any of our other cloggers we have had down the years, it just so happens he has fortunately been playing when it’s all been a massive feel good time for us as fans. Stick him in a line up in the Ashley era and he’d be getting non stop stick. He just isn’t that good really, but we don’t need to get hung up on negative talk, as for the first time in donkeys years, everything around the club is amazing.
