But that wasn't what Ashley was ever about. I know he appeared to be 'one of the lads' at first, but he was a well-stuffed suit that hoovered cash like no tomorrow. His brand vandalism of the stadium and everything else was testament to that.

Still, we would have been a far better advertisement vehicle for his tat.

Tell you what's great, is the pure hate and bitterness coming through from all corners, long may it continue

This was a good example on Twitter earlier, they’re all shitting it big style from mackem land to Salford and beyond.

Newcastle are back whether they like it or not.

Who's shouting for Joe to press before Krul loses it?

Nvm clearly Eddie.

Yeah, noticed that too. Great to see it pay off immediately as it played a part in Krul's poor pass.

Clean sheet with Lascelles in the back line has gone somewhat under the radar. Can Howe resurrect his career here or is he destined for departure?

Might stay next season as cover for squad harmony and continuity, but he should be nowhere near the first eleven. 4/5th choice then moved on next summer.

Just not good enough with the ball, and still looks super dodgy defending in a high line. Should be able to get pretty decent money for him from a more defensive minded type team, so should look to move him on I think.

To be honest his last time in the starting 11 he did look good, before this one. Not saying he merits a spot, just saying.

Guest HTT II

Lascelles defensively was very good yesterday, he read danger well, was strong in the air and used his strength to good effect. On the ball, however, he was awful and kept giving it away or playing the wrong ball.
