Any recommendations for somewhere to stay i the centre? depends on budget and how central you want to be have stayed at Maldron hotel on Newgate Street some nice hotels down at the quayside if your ok being a little further out the hilton over on the gateshead side has a swimming pool. I know he hit the ground running last year because he came back early but 2 years with little rest is too excessive. The kindish fixtures we have should mean we could easily start Barnes first 2 games since he'll have had a full pre-season with Howe this summer, then bring Gordon back into the starting XI around the Spurs game.
