Hopefully the speedy trials for those morons are a deterrent.

Let's be honest you have to be either a rabid nutcase or spectacularly stupid to still riot , given a 69 year old with no criminal record has just got 2½ years

What are ticket sales looking like for tomorrow night?

Looked about 30k when I bought earlier in the week. Gallowgate, East and Milburn were pretty much done but loads in the Leazes. L7 closed.

Cancelled our tickets - as somebody that is non-white I simply cannot take a risk

Gutted as I don’t get many opportunities to travel to SJP

Same mate. Not worth the risk. Especially as I was taking the kids.

Really sad this. Hopefully it all passes as nowt and you’re both back in there asap.

Totally get why anyone feeling threatened wouldn’t go to this particularly if you were black or Asian. Absolute disgrace people should feel like this from those horrific ghouls, fucking wankers the lot of them. I do hope the swift and severe sentences has quashed the whole thing now and Dave Bloggs who’s planning on rioting as thick as he is is probably questioning it with a potential long sentence and job loss on the horizon.

So the twats are gonna try smash up the bigg market? Won't go down well.

I’d imagine its a case of easier for the police to control that area (hence why they held PSG/Dortmund/Milan fans there) and lets be honest not much going on at 10am around there for most of the day until maybe early evening.

Won’t be surprised if its all a damp squib TBH.

My brother and I once asked me dad why he settled in Newcastle. Was in the Great Depression of 96. We could have been supporting Liverpool,  man utd, arsenal etc. He honestly said you don't realise how great a town this is. "They're not like other people in this country". Even if we never win a trophy, will always be proud of this city and NUFC.
