Was absolutely fine last time we played a pre-season friendly in Scotland.

We were pretty much the away team when we played Arsenal & Spurs in pre-season. Definitely think we still need to do these sorts of trips but not every year.

I very much doubt that has much, if anything, to do with them having visited before... much, much more to do with them being regularly in the top 4 and CL for the past 20 years.

Sucess is what gets worldwide support.

La Manga in July will be absolutely fucking boiling.

I know cos I've been there.

Tried to play golf and it was like swinging some bamboo sticks about in a sauna.

One night an absolutely gorgeous lass came over and sat on my knee at one of the bars in the resort but I didn't have the gumption to stick the lips on her.

Up there with some of my biggest regrets of 1994.

Intrigued to know what the competition for top spot is?

If it doesn’t involve Michelle Collins I’ll be extremely disappointed.

Bit annoying since losing Matt Targett hinged on booking long distance flights, guess we're stuck with him

Doing all sorts of saucy things with a lass from Mickley under a tree in a field for about 3 hours and then realising when I got home I was covered in a billion midge bites so I necked about 15 anti-histamines that with hindsight could have been a life threatening number of tablets.

If I had died, people would assume I couldn’t live with the shame of doing saucy things with a lass from Mickley, they would never have known about the midge bites.

That’s not the biggest regret, but it’s higher up than the La Manga one.

Having that many midge bites was unbearable for days.

You obviously don’t know many lasses from Mickley.

It’d be more impressive to brag that I bought a box of teabags from Aldi.

Well let's keep going through the list man, what's higher than that?

Seems a bit daft not to have pre season planned at this stage, the likes of Wrexham have major events organised.

Hopkinson quote

"By 2030, I see this club being in the debate about being the top club in the world. That is where I see us by 2030 – and that kind of progress doesn't take as long as you might think. What it takes is clarity of conviction."

Seems a bit of a limp pre season for an expert in the commercial side of football.

Its all a bit Meh with nobody driving us forward, the whole club needs a kick up the arse.

I also found it bizarre, im assuming the arguement is a football one and that it messes up our pre season plan. Everyone else seems to manage though.

EH said it was because of the World Cup, quite a few players away, didn’t want to be travelling all over the World.

Sure we’ll get some decent fixtures announced soon.

The way the club has just went through the motions for the last few months you might just get your wish

It’s fairly pointless making Joelinton fly all over the world when everyone else is at the World Cup I guess.

The vision and progress of the club really means we have to have a good season next time, so whatever it takes to help that happen is the right move.
