You lot have got me fearing relegation

For some positivity, it really did look a bit grim at the beginning of last season. Eddie was clearly not happy. And we looked poor even though we got some good results. In December, no one would have even dreamt that we would go on to have our best season in living memory.

I'd say there were lessons learned in these fixtures, but it's the same old issues that we all know are there and are not being fixed. Squad depth and quality.

We're a fucking quality side and have a top class manager. We just need the depth in class that top European sides are able to have.

What? You mean we will actually field a proper starting 11 in a competitive fixture? Well I never

Glad I could help you understand football mate. Here any time if you get stuck.

We'll be okay man, just need a readymade striker up top.

Wissa hopefully against Villa it cannot be any worse than gordon.

Yeah I feel we weren't that bad, just didn't have the killer touch up front. Not surprising when you don't have a striker playing.

That's a heck of a pre-season. Don't remember one like it. Results always mean little. I hope Eddie got what he wanted out of the games, results aside.

However, good luck to villa trying to plan to play against us lol

Maybe that was Eddies cunning plan all along!

Griezmann was so good, barely ever broke into a jog but just so non-chalantly class

No doubt he enjoyed playing at SJP after famously managing us on Football Manager

Isaw him play at Atletico againt Betis in 23. Watching him live was something else. Genius of a player.

People who want Harrison to get more chances: he really doesn't seem to be anywhere near first team ready.

I thought he looked very tidy in the flesh when he came on yesterday - couple of wayward moments but seemed to do well in tight spaces and wanted to release the ball quickly.

Then I logged on here when I got home to see people saying he was shit.
