Could it be they are banking on some kind of European football next year before they announce any deal, then then £100m club offical camel partnership deal will look better when the Cartel clubs get to view and decide on the value of the deal or what ever it is that they are allowed to do?.

You’d have to wonder why their camel partnership wasn’t announced when they had Champions League football if that was the case

reckon he's having any regrets yet?

I think he knew the clubs a shitshow, I think he believes he can turn it around. Also I assume when he is finally appointed he will be suitably compensated.

His first job could be signing a £20 million cheque to get rid of the management team, ffp taking a hammering before the transfer window is open

Heard Gary Neville saying when he signed to manage Valencia, Dan told him he was in consideration for next England manager. Dan told him go and have a good 8 games in Spain and things are looking very good. Or words to that effect.

Hopefully he’s dans top choice to replace ten hag.

No probably the opposite. He will be wanting to sort out the mess and be the hero.

this hopefully helps us though, ratcliffe will be fuming after this and want to get things changed. Might focus his mind on paying the compo and getting Dan in place asap.

Be great if we make him wait until 2026 and the new spending cap stuff means they're starting from miles behind us and a part of him wishes he'd stuck with us.

It's much less than £20m, but it's still the reason they won't do it unless they think it's absolutely necessary.

Ten Hag only has a year left on his deal.

If they delay a year then Southgate will probably sign another contract with the FA. Best to get it done this summer IMHO.

Ironically Neville would probably been pretty good as England manager, given how Southgates managed to bore us to decent results despite being garbage at club level

The bigger the mess that Man U are in the more appealing the job will be to wee Dan.

He's probably hoping he stays on gardening leave for some of them to time out. Most of them surround players being paid far too much for their talent. Like Jeff Hendrick on steroids. Also, the bright hopes of youth will have come on in 18 months as well. Really, he doesn't have to do much to see the headache that is Greenwood disappear, contracts nearing the end for Maguire, Casemiro, Evans etc...and their 4 young sparks with another season or so under their belt.

Maybe he can work on it for a year or so and then get some more gardening leave by agreeing a move somewhere else. He's cracked it.

Southgate being appointed there just after they've had to pay us XXX amount for Ashworth and then seeing Sancho arrive back with a potential UCL winners medal whilst also (maybe) not having any European football of any kind to prepare for and 90% of the players being up for sale.

That's a top quality shit show right there for a "Big 6" club.
