Really safe signing. Hope Dubravka doesn’t decide he wants to leave for guaranteed football because we’ve got to good keepers now.

Pretty obvious they are bigging up the fact we are signing an England international

When they appoint a new pope, it’s traditional practice that he chucks the decaying corpse of the old one in a furnace outside the Vatican.

That’s Dubravka fucked then!

Overpaid. Worrying.

Was happy at £10M but we've been fleeced by them. Doesn't look good going forward.

He’s been fleeced only getting a 4 year deal!

Hope we give him the platform to become England number 1. Pickford will still edge it regardless like which is probably fair given his performances at the last two tournaments.

Solid signing and £10m ish for a player who could/will easily become a starter in the PL these days is buttons. Subtract whatever we get for Darlow/Woodman and it's even cheaper. Very astute signing, unspectacular perhaps, but the type of signing we need to move the club on. We've spent 15 years having about 6 or 7 good players and fuck all else. Now we're actually building a squad with cover and competition for places and it's not going to happen overnight. They've been here for about 8 months and it'll take time to claw back the advantages we've willingly allowed other clubs to have and take. Slow and solid build please.

Happy with this signing, welcome Nick!

No idea what the white smoke thing is all about though  :icon_scratch:

Both him and Wood have come from a very well run club (well until the takeover and the new owners who seem all over the place) so they’ll know what good looks like. Wood for all his faults will have sold the club to him and what Eddie wants to build.
