Miggys First Goal
Imagine if we were linked with Tielemans under the old regime. We'd be snapping their hands off.

Haha so right. I met the bloke in Alcudia last year. Remember seeing him stand out like a slapped arse in many games. My thought at the time was. Wish we had Arsenal pulling power. Now Arsenal wish they had ours.

Kimbo
If you're in the top 6 and have money to spend then you can buy many talented players, and Tielemans is obviously talented, but just because you can it doesn't mean you should. I said in the summer that none of the ESL 6 are buying Tielemans and I'm sticking to it (though nothing Chelsea does would surprise me).

Tielemans would be a decent signing for you. I say this because you need deep enough pockets to sign and pay someone to play in his place, during the long periods of poor form he delivers. On his day, he is up there with th best, the rest of the time, a passenger. We cant cope with this, but our elite coach picks him whether hes in form or out. A myth though? No. Which is why we can’t splash the same money as Chelsea/Man City/Man Utd etc.

It was naturally changed straight after our take over so all eyes will be on us. Edited December 29, 2022 by Gawalls

The big six's revenue dwarfs everyone elses, so they can pretty much spend what they want and comply with FFP. They've doubled down now with the related party transaction stuff. Ours was about 150m. You can spend according to what you bring in, which is why increased sponsorship and commercialisation is so crucial (as well as stadium expansion, to a degree). And turning reserve etc into a larger revenue stream with larger loan fees. Chelsea make tons doing this I reckon.

We will start to do that too, I’m sure, as a source of income, as the club develops.

Of course its beneficial to the 'Big 6 (comical term imo)' they want to pull the bridge up behind them and hide behind all their 'Big 6' Revenue, most of which is creative accounting. Only way FFP gets involved is if its a threat to the status quo.
