Haaland (if there' not a clause) will be a £200m player all day long.

Guest
What's Lodi been like? If he's been decent I could see us going back for him.

If he's got the fitness levels of his brother I'd be all over that. Inaki at one point had played over 200 games consecutively for Bilbao, don't know if that's still going on. Saw the reports that he was the Gordon backup in January, but he may well still be on the list, and they were just looking to get one of them in January. Gordon seems to have been the young rotation option for the left side, as a right footer that cuts in. Nico Williams could well be the young rotation option for the right side, as a left footer that cuts in, as we still don't have another left footer to play on that side. He's a quick good dribbler with a lot of potential to grow still and apparently has a release clause of £45 million, so similar in price to Gordon. H e played against us in the summer preseason game at St. James' park.

Good to see Joao Pedro's name still on the list, as he should be more available this summer with Watford not looking like they will come up. Think he'd be a great rotation option/understudy to Isak going forward, as he has a similar game in that he drops into space and runs the channels and is an excellent dribbler. He can also cover both wide positions.
Kid Icarus
I'm not a fan of there being a Nico and Neco Williams like, it's just praying for me to get them mixed up at some point.

sushimonster85
Lodi has really kicked on in the past few months. Seemed a bit lost when he first joing, like all Forest players did then to be fair, but is really showing why we were after him now. Wouldn't be shocked at all if it is him, especially now he has a season of PL experience.

The injury messed him up this season as he would have played more. He'll bounce back. Think us getting another left back will be to rotate with Targett, especially as we will have more games, with us likely to be in a European competition. I think from next season Burn will play at left back only in emergency situations, and will instead mostly fill the rotation/backup centre back role as an alternative to Botman. That’s pretty much what the article says in reference to Burn being the Botman back up. The article says the club are aware of the need for greater squad depth so think Targett and a new LB would see plenty of game time.
sixx
I want Joao Palhinha. Badly. A midfield trio of Bruno, Palhinha and Joelinton/Willock would be brutal.

Agreed but it just doesn’t seem like he’s the long term solution. Certainly will be something internal where they feel he isn’t quite good enough Edited March 15, 2023 by Andy84

Howe has always played with full backs that push forward while having his wide men slightly narrower, so that makes sense.

If they didn't think he wasn't good enough they would have sent him back after the loan. We are going to have to have two decent players in each position going forward and so it makes sense we will be getting in another left back.
