Guest neesy111
That's going to happen across all sport, not just football and the PL. Bubble is finally starting to burst it seems.

The College Dropout
What good would tv deals collapsing bring? The top clubs are massive commercial vehicles in their own right. The big TV deals means the likes of us and West Ham can overpay for good talent from abroad.

TV money is a higher % of revenue for small clubs than it is for big clubs.

Shearergol
Sick of the price of sky, sick of the price of matchday tickets, sick of average players going for £30m+ I just want the game to completely implode now.

LoveItIfWeBeatU
I wonder which fans of Premier League teams are actually looking forward to the new season? The newly promoted teams fans probably are. Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool, Man U and Arsenal fans probably. Around half the league's teams fans probably aren't looking forward to it due to a variety of reasons: - probably being in a relegation battle, mid table mediocrity, not being able to watch the games live (and possibly not on TV either), etc.

Guest neesy111
Collapse of TV deals will bring sustainability into the football pyramid. The gap between the PL and championship is comical.

Guest reefatoon
Collapse of the TV deal would have no effect on us anyway as fat Mike pockets all the money. We would still be scrapping around for bargains it would just mean Ashley being out of pocket. Win win for me.
Tiresias
The amount of money being paid for the premier league is clearly inflated, the cost of players has ballooned to be £20m for a relegated striker, something has to give. What we could do with though is less a collapse of funds to all clubs and more chelsea man city and man united imploding completely and disappearing

And while I don’t like Manchester United, I’m particularly bitter about those other two. We were more than capable of competing with those before their takeovers. What we could do with though is less a collapse of funds to all clubs and more chelsea man city and man united imploding completely and disappearing problem is those three would ride out a collapse reasonably fine due to massive commercial income for man utd and benefactors for the other two, its everybody else that would implode as would many in the championship (as they're kinda close to doing already) as they're gambling on how much they're spending and pulling tricks with accounts to cover it in a desperate attempt to get into the money club
