5 game ban for tyrone mings. As bournemouth say, seems odd they have decided they have proof he intended it.

He blatantly did mind - they had been at it all game and he offended no apology or reaction after it! Cowardly pig doing that and he should have got more!

Bournemouth have said he apologised twice during the match

He certainly didn't in the aftermath hence Zlatan's elbow smashed him a minute later!

He could have easily avoided the stamp for me!

Didn't know the cause of his friction with Rafa was because he chose to be with his wife in labour instead of play in a CL game. Kinda sad.

Really? Never heard that before. Always this...

He wanted to sell him and sign Gareth Barry IIRC.  Not a good decision.

We will never know as he didn't get him in the end and was left with the lad from Roma (Aqualanni?). He might of flourished. Alonso is great mind and love watching him play.

Barry was canny at his peak but to talk about him in the same breath as Alonso is laughable. Really surprised Rafa ever entertained it tbh.

It's like choosing the winner of the BDO darts to take on the likes of Chisnall or Snakebite Wright and assuming they'll match them.

Re Alonso and Benitez

That summer Rafa told Xabi he would leave but neither Juve or Arsenal could agree terms with Liverpool.

I don't buy that Rafa genuinely thought Barry was a better player. Barry was canny but c'mon.  A rift is more logical between the pair for whatever reason.

Rafa said he wanted to sell him to fund other players.

He was desperate to get Barry in.
