Still not worthy of a thread

There’s apparently a ‘challenge’ where you have to try and find a song that is NOT on YouTube.

Thought I’d nailed it with Sting’s 1998 FA Cup Final song (that he conveniently wrote but was too busy to record himself so passed on to some kid from North Shields), only to find that some dog enthusiast last year but it as the backing track for a compilation of photos of their dogs and has approximately 150 views (about 5 by me more than likely). Nice dogs mind.

Not Sting’s finest moment. It’s awful.

Steve McClaren on SSN now saying that Man U players must be prepared to die when they play Liverpool and that they should forget tactics.

It's hard to understand why the fucker isn't relevant anymore. What is it with these useless pfm fucks have against tactics?

That's McClaren's fundamental weakness as a manager. He's just not a great leader. A total lack of ability to motivate teams properly. Coaching and tactical stuff seem like his strength but when things go badly he doesn't know how to turn around fallen heads.

His grinning is a bluff to act like he's confident and sure of himself but he's not and people can sense it quickly. That's why he fails so quickly at so many jobs.

"(He is) a great guy, a good coach on the pitch, but as a manager there were a lot of things (missing),” Janmaat said whilst speaking to dutch outlet AD.

“He could have been louder, and more able to make his mark on certain things. (He is) an excellent coach on the pitch, who happens to be a manager.”

You listen to Pep, you listen to Mourinho - the very first thing they speak about is attitude, motivation etc. That's the same across any industry. You need the right people in terms of character and motivation firstmost. I don't consider that a PFM trait - focussing on attitudes and hard work.

The PFM thing is just being bad coaches. It's having no plan of action beyond motivation and such. It's about the "race to the bottom" way of playing football. The sides either have zero identity and change styles of play all the time or they just lump it.

Broadcast selections for December and January – a number of which involve Newcastle United – have been confirmed by the Premier League.

The Magpies’ trip to Sheffield United on Tuesday, 3rd December will now be played two days later, on Thursday, 5th December, with kick-off at the earlier time of 7.30pm. As with every Premier League fixture played during that midweek, it will be shown live on Amazon.

As a result of that change, Newcastle’s home game against Southampton on Saturday, 7th December will now be played on Sunday, 8th December at 2pm. Please note that the game is not being shown live by any broadcaster; it has only moved as a result of the Sheffield United fixture switch.

The rights to screen the Magpies’ Boxing Day clash at Manchester United had already been secured by Amazon and that game will now kick off at the slightly later time of 5.30pm.

United start 2020 by welcoming Leicester City to St. James’ Park on New Year’s Day. The game will still be played at 3pm, but has been chosen for selection by BT.

Steve Bruce’s side’s meeting with Chelsea on Tyneside on Saturday, 18th January – the reverse of the fixture being played this weekend – will now kick off at 5.30pm after being picked up by Sky.

Finally, though the Magpies’ trip to Everton three days later – on Tuesday, 21st January – has not been chosen for broadcast, kick-off has been brought forward from 7.45pm to 7.30pm.Broadcast selections for December and January – a number of which involve Newcastle United – have been confirmed by the Premier League.

This Ciaran Kelly fella that's covering Newcastle for the Chronicle seems a professional sort, has Ryder been sacked but he still turns up at all the games and tweets the exact same thing as Kelly just 2 mins later.

I imagine Ryder has been sat with all his stuff packed in a box waiting for the phone to ring with a job offer from The Athletic for months now, at first assuming it was coming, then hoping and now drinking until he hallucinates it comes
