We looked absolutely shattered like

Pressing a team like Brighton is hard though as they're so good on the ball, a great performance today was a long shot like.

But we didn’t press them.We stood off.Big Joe is our only real pressing midfield player.

Really important that we are becoming a team that can still pick up a point when we haven't played well.

Really glad for Botman getting a clean sheet first time out. Big props to Nick Pope as well for getting us the point today.

No goals conceded first two games and 4 points on the board. Decent.

Will take that all day long. Don't want to be too harsh on the players because I didn't think Brighton were any good either and it looked like all of the players were suffering with the heat and agitated.

Pope - 8.5

Trippier - 5.5

Schar - 7

Botman - 7

Burn - 8

Bruno - 5.5

Joelinton - 5.5

Willock - 5.5

ASM - 5

Wilson - 4

Almiron - 6.5

Really surprised to see Wilson with a 4, don't think he was the worst of our players by any means at all.

Just checking, third, home win away draw against a good side?
mustn't grumble. Simmer doon fannies.

No-one should be panicking, but the position in the table after some teams have played only once is utterly irrelevant

Murphy is utter utter dog turd and should be nowhere near this squad, no idea what Howe sees in him.

If we're still bringing Murphy and Wood off the bench to try and change games by the end of January, we won't be finishing top 8.

Pope man of the match, shortly followed by Joelinton for me, then Miggy.

Fairly poor game on our behalf, but shows the importance of discipline, rigidity, understanding the system, intensity, everything we didn't have with Bruce. Would have lost 3 or 4 nil today under Bruce.

Both teams lacking quality in the final third, think the heat played its part too.

All in all, a great result, another clean sheet, one of our top 10 difficult fixtures done for the season and unbeaten. Free punch at City now.

On a serious note, I legitimately think the kits played a massive part in that, there where multiple occasion where both sides played it to the other team, at the start of the second half a Brighton player player a through ball to Trippier for instance.

There's no one else. I'm sure Howe realises his massive limitations

Said the same to wor kid. How was that less of a kit clash than allowing us to play in our away kit ffs?

Well It’s not is it? It’s a measure of the season up to now and the work done up to now. Four points from two games and third. How else are you going to measure it? We’ll be at least 6th after the rest of the games are played. Struggling to recall last time we were 6th.

We've all seen our points can cover bad performances, see Pardew 5th.

We're not at a stage of our development where by points are good enough if the occasional performance is sub par.

A few games last season we stole a result, that's a fact. So far this season, we've had a jog about against Forest and have been run ragged by a toothless but brilliantly coached Brighton.

I certainly have lots of faith, I really do. I want to see some evidence that we've pushed on from last season though.

And......there's 10,000s of pro players in the world. It can't be hard to find an upgrade for the money available. Nearly all other teams manage it. We must have set ourselves some ridiculously stringent criteria to not find an upgrade on someone who can't pass or shoot.

Pretty shat that.

But in perspective they'll be feeling blue that a rival for the top half has taken a point off them and is in the box seat

Think that's where were at - Brighton's level of bang midtableness. Few recruits could alter that.

*will never expect anything but a naff game there from now. Just got to accept it at this point. Every single one has been rank
