He won't give a shit. But it is interesting they are so opposed to him signing. You would think they would be desperate for a decent striker. Maybe they think they should be aiming higher.

Aye, I think that's the crux of it for them. They want someone like Ekiteke or Gyokeres (or probably Isak). Pedro as a main striker signing would be underwhelming, probably even for us.

Well they also signed Delap but they probably think he's not good enough either.

how are chelsea still able to act with impunity in terms of being an FM infinite money hack. we need to get on that shit. i would have thought PSR might have slowed them even a little in their dotage.

Insane that I already forgot about Delap  Far too hard to keep up with Chelsea's signings. That leaves an even bigger question about where Joao Pedro would fit in there.

The good thing about Chelsea being a total fucking mess in the transfer market is that it’ll take a while again before any semblance of a team starts to form and people can hold down a place. Then, just as they’re getting close to figuring it out they’ll change both their manager and their squad again. Fucking rats

glad I haven't wasted my time watching his YouTube highlights

I watched them when it looked like we were signing him from Watford a couple of years ago. But generally it's a golden rule to stay away from Youtube highlights until the signing is more or less rubber stamped. It just makes you more angry if they fuck off somewhere else.

As a striker - he’s underwhelming imo. Especially to be *The* striker. And they obviously have a better 10.

We don’t have any 10 and he would be a great backup striker for us too.

Yeh they already have a young striker that needs to develop. Why have a squad that has 2 of those? If they get another attacker it needs to be someone who is meant to be ‘the man’ from the off or they let Delap develop and give him that pathway.

We don’t play with a ‘10’ and I can’t see us playing with one next season either - and it does seem like a fuckton of cash for a backup.

If he is who Howe wants, then I’m all for it - I’m just scratching my head over it.  Seems like a big chunk of the budget to me.

I am guilty of this all the time. Just watched some Xavi Simons kids just now.

Would like it on the record that I have a hatred burning deep inside me for Andy Howe.

What is the problem with Andy Howe?

Thing is, we should look elsewhere. But certainly if we are bidding player has not knocked us back. May want to go to Chelsea still.

Could just be biased London reporting.

No quotes from the player himself.

Chelsea might not even be in for him for all we know.

Yeah was gonna say, yesterday it wasn't moving because he's on holiday but now he's made his mind up

The only hope is Chelsea using his name to buy someone else.

No way do they pull out for financial reasons, no way does he pick us over them.

Reading loads of people criticising our negotiating strategy but I’m not sure we should just be giving clubs what they want straight away for players that aren’t going immediately raise our level.

I like Pedro. I think he’d be a good signing and he may still turn out to be but this isn’t a Botman, Bruno, Tonali, Gordon, Isak level of transfer. I might be wrong there but not enough of these targets are those types of players. We should have been prioritising one in the RW position.

I also get a lot of this is frustration from failed PSR windows but I’m still inclined to believe we’ll do good business this window.
