Initially annoyed by this earlier, but now relieved that is done. He clearly had no intention of playing for us again and while I thought we should hold out for £150m I'd prefer players that wanted to play for us. I don't condone the Wissa behaviour as well - generally you've got players making demands so would expect him looking for a big pay day to Saudi in a few seasons at 31/32. He is a world class striker, on the whole a great finisher, it is disappointing because he didn't seem that character but I'd much rather keep players like Hall, Livramento, Burn, Gordon, Bruno G and others that seem more team focused than individual.

Things I think will happen:

- Isak has signed a 6 year contract trebling his weekly salary, but in 3 years you will get bigger clubs than Liverpool in for him i.e. Barca, Real Madrid and he will agitate to leave. The Scousers will call him all sorts and forget how he behaved to leave us. It isn't real world either - he is essentially rewarded for poor morals and behaviour so can see this pattern repeating. You'll probably see a shift in media narrative when this happens to LFC.

- Ekitike and Isak will start well together, but behind the scenes will be a fall out as they're similar playing styles. Isak will be paid more than Ekitike which will probably cause him to ask for a pay rise should continue his fine form. Just wait for the big games when one of them gets dropped.

- I think he will do well initially, but X will be raving about him when he goes on his 7-10 game scoring streaks. The rest of the games where he was off it will not be mentioned, but they'll know. He is usually a player for the big occasions, such as the cup final, but when we needed him he wasn't always there - Arsenal (A), Liverpool (A). In a TikTok culture his clips will get lapped up such as the 'assist' v Everton, but those that attend a 90 minute match will get true representation of his game.

- Wissa and Woltemade will be compared to Isak for foreseeable future. It is human nature to do this, but really hoping they hit 30 goals + between them and we are more cohesive as a team. Often we would be shown graphics of NUFC with and without Isak suggesting we were a one man team.

Imagine if the main comparisons we’re making are between ‘The Wubble-Yoos’ and  Cole and Beardsley or with Shearer and Ferdinand.

I swear I’ll cheer any injury this cunt gets like a 97th min winner. As bad an injury the better. I’ve never despised a footballer before like this prick

Harsh but ultimately fair.

They should have fucking made an acceptable bid at the very beginning of the summer. Instead, they strung it out with their clickbait mates and caused irreparable damage to our pre-season.

That we can do absolutely fuck all about it stinks

Exactly the sort of vindictive bitterness I can get right behind.

Can we have a mutual agreement that we won’t lose it and push this thread back to the top every time he scores a goal this season?

Agreed, but equally, if he does his ACL then it might be worth pinning the thread.

Not harsh enough. Faked an injury. Trained at his ex’s place, refused to play, made a statement because he wouldn’t be attending an award ceremony, I mean absolute silence when he didn’t attend his actual job and when he did break his silence it was all me me me and not a single mention of the fans. That’s not even getting in to the fact he asked to leave with 2 games left both which we lost. I’m absolutely convinced he phoned it in since the cup final onwards.

honestly, if he wasn’t so good I’d be laughing at Liverpool for having such a selfish cunt in their team. I’ve never wished injury on any player in my life before but fuck I’ll be hoping he gets one every time he plays

I dunno man, they’ve been very fortunate in the first 3 games. We’ll see what happens.

That's the thing with having high class players, the two goals which won their last two games were worldies. If they are winning when they are playing badly then they aren't going to complain.

But the best individuals don't always make the best team. Maybe they have bought themselves out of winning trophies? We can always dream.

I get he has to kiss the ass of his best player but there's no need to lick his asshole too.

“Gets the ball does fuck all tomma tommason” 🎵

Very poor interview given 99% of football world can see he’s just been a massive dick. Ignore it but don’t positively condone it.
