Chelsea Arsenal Everton Spurs Liverpool I don't even know... Leeds are so much more respectable than say Burnley or Wolves or many other clubs which makes them more likeable. I reckon Fulham and Leeds are closer to my PL likes than dislikes. They were great entertainment when they came up under Bielsa. Farke has them in a more resilient, hard to beat mindset. Evident when we went down there, was a tough game.

It's been obvious since he signed his new contact that this was the plan, just feels like the process has been sped up now He leaves for 100m in jan, they get to spend whatever they want in the next 2 or 3 windows, and they'll be fine! Scoot
Things are looking good for Liverpool, Isak and Salah.
alexf
This is all manufactured bullshit. It's gonna play out exactly as predicted. Liverpool want him gone, Salah wants to go and now they can try and justify a disgusting unrealistic fee because he signed a new deal. They got £40m for an old legs gone Fabinho like 2 and half years ago so god knows what they will get for Salah. Shouldn't be anymore than £20m max at his age and with his crazy wages. Decky
Only way I see this going is the Saudis giving them big money for him and then Liverpool play more to Isaks strengths without Salah in the team unfortunately.
andycap
Salah as he is now is worth nowhere near 100 million fair market value and all that. I'd stick in a complaint if I was on the toons board.

Salah’s not in the team now and Isaks been mostly anonymous. I don’t think they will ever “play to his strengths” like we did here, he’ll have to adapt or fail. Lucky
After how they fucked us around all summer, I’ll be so pissed off with PIF if they bail the dippers out. This is 100% where you just let that toxic situation fester.

alexf
Completely forgot for a sec that the Saudis are our fucking owners. But yeah of course they will bail them out. They gave them £50-60m that no other fucker was gonna give them for Nunez so they had enough cashflow to sign Isak this summer so nothing is surprising. Danh1
Fantastic how this is going man. Could never have dreamt it. Would’ve been satisfied for him to go there and just score the odd goal and not fulfill his price tag but this is going horrendously. And after that interview he done, he quite clearly doesn’t have the bollocks on him to turn it around. YNWA Alex, except when you’re shite.

Ellis H
Ekitike scored twice today mainly just by working hard and staying alert. He didn't need the whole team built around him. The fact that Slot is openly referencing Murphy's significance is majestic and it sums up the transfer entirely. They bought him because they could but didn't stop to think if they should. Not a criticism but I never ever got the feeling that Leeds was a football city when I lived there. My mate at work is from Leeds and I think has lived there his entire life. Great lad, but he played Rugby for years and coaches youth cricket as you allude to their preferences. He does attend plenty of matches at Elland Road though and knows his football. Like I said, top lad, but I did notice a Yorkshireman can be quite cocky. elbee909
There's no way Liverpool would accept money from Saudi Arabia. They've said multiple times they're too moral a club to do such a thing.

It’s not traditionally a football city at all. The Revie years in the 60s / early 70s marked that turning point. The club has a big catchment area obvs and I’d wager the fans who fill that dilapidated wreck of a stadium (I was there for a conference in summer and bloody hell) travel as far as any from the surrounding towns and villages. Smal
when Bielsa was manager and they painted a load of murals over the city it felt like a football city. Was pretty cool. A lot of people go to the games from the surrounding towns and villages though yeah, and a lot of those people also like rugby, the freaks. I don’t think I’ve been anywhere that gets near the level of Newcastle in terms of feeling like a football city though, so you guys probably have an unfair standard to hold everyone else to Edited December 7, 2025 by Smal

Its the opposite, tbf. Rhinos fans are generally from sub urban areas a bit outside, football fans generally closer to the City Centre. Its still not a footballing City, though. Yet to meet a man from Yorkshire who isn't like that.
