I just can't see Isak leaving for at least one more season, unless a crazy bid comes in, which is virtually impossible to turn down. Think he will be given a new contract. Last player club will want to sell and Eales has already mentioned that this week. Will a purple player go, possibly but I think it would more likely be Bruno or maybe even Gordon or Tonali, than Isak.

With 3 years left on his deal we are in such a strong position, that even if he wants to leave I would expect the club to dig in and say no unless someone offers at least 150 million. it's Summer 2026 before we would have to cash in if he didn't sign a new deal.

I think if we don't get CL, then he would probably be looking at going to a club where he can achieve that every season. Newcastle are still not at that stage so I can understand that he might start getting itchy feet. But he has a long contract so we hold the whip hand. Eales has already set the club's stall out that we are keeping him, so unless we get a really big offer, then he stays here, even if he would prefer to move on.

Sadly for him, even if he wanted to leave he's too valuable to let go other than for a stellar offer. At least at this point in his contract.

Anyway, no reason to believe he wants to go.

Ornstein saying he’s top of Liverpools list

I could handle it a bit more him going to Liverpool rather than Arsenal. I still think someone on the continent might come in for him too only if we don’t get CL. Either way the fee is going to be a big ask for anyone, we’re not just going to hand him over ffs.

No thanks. If we have to sell him good lord don't let it be to anyone fucker in this country especially not a cartel menber. Would be absolutely sickening.

Hope the next two down are achievable then.

If they sell Darwin they can afford him. Isak has talked highly of Liverpool before.

They may need to replace Alexander-Arnold, Salah & Van Dijk. Plus they really need a new left back.

Yes that will be a different story. All three may also sign new contracts. If they really want Isak they can get him lets not kid ourself.

What amount of money would seriously justify selling him?

How much would £150m allow us to spend etc?

I'd say we'd probably need around £400m to spend for it to make any sense.

I think TAA is definitely gone, and I think Salah will go too. Van Dijk I think is the most likely to stay, but I have no idea why they haven't sorted that yet.
