Yorkie
Got to be questioning the recovery strategies at this point. This is maddening. You know Wilson be out again before long too.

It could be bad luck, but I am starting to get worried about the way Howe conditions the team and if the intensity level he demands in games is just exacerbating things. St1pe
It’s a blow but given how he’s barely had a chance to play it doesn’t feel as bad as the ASM set-back… Unless Wilson gets injured.

I'm fairly confident saying that whilst modern sports science will be bloody brilliant at monitoring and treating muscles, it isn't gonna be absolutely 1/1 perfect. And in any field, you can get a run of bad luck out of the blue without any causation from what you're doing. I don't know how long you go before saying, "yeah, this is Howe and his team's fault" but I think we're probably way too early for that. Scotty66
Happened on International duty didn't it? Not much we can blame Howe for unless they're making them train too soon but I have to doubt that knowing how meticulous Howe is. Just bad bad luck unfortunately. I think you could say that whilst it happened on international duty, the conditioning Howe and his team does has led to the injury. I'm stressing COULD. We just don't know. AyeDubbleYoo
Wilson and ASM are massively injury prone. Only the Isak one is a surprise. I wouldn’t be kicking off about our training methods just yet.
Theregulars
I think there’s probably something in it to do with the intensity of the training and gametime, it’s quite clear that it’s the key message. You’d think if it continues much longer they’re going to need to change it. Extremely frustrating but all clubs having similar with a packed schedule I suppose. AyeDubbleYoo
They can’t change the training too much unless they want to change the style of play, can they? Of course they should be monitoring individuals and managing the stress on them, but I would expect they do.
Andy84
Our training is clearly really good, due to what we are seeing on the pitch. Just unlucky and it’s frustrating Edited October 16, 2022 by Andy84

STM
On the positive, Isak has played 30+ games in the last 3 seasons, so hopefully it's not a habit for him to be missing.

However, there is plenty of preventive stuff out there and ways to manage training loads, etc. The main issue at the minute is players suffering setbacks so there’s clearly something amiss in terms of what we’re doing in recovery which is nothing to do with luck. David Edgar
It still could be bad luck, but that is a good point.
STM
I'd prefer them over trained with the risk of injury, than under trained and the risk of being shite.
