I don't see how. Strikers are the most valuable commodity in the game for a reason. Even £150m only buys you two players these days.

I’ve often thought we’d be a stepping stone for Isak on his journey to a top club like Barca or Real or Bayern

 

He seems the least emotionally invested and most transient of our top players

 

But I also thought that he’d be respectful about the situation and we’d part on terms that worked for NUFC and for him. It’d be amicable given what both parties have done for each other 
 

Whereas right now he’s creating the impression of being a selfish mercenary cunt (*if he has actually downed tools)

Interesting that he wasn't agitating for a move after we finished 7th and broadly had little to look forward to the following season. Fast forward a year and we've won a cup and qualified for CL, making him a club legend and NOW he wants to leave? I'm pretty shocked by it (assuming it goes that way, not jumping the gun). He never seemed the type to try something like this. Partly I blame the lickspittle so-called journalists doing the filthy ESL wanks' bidding like Romano, unsettling him and there wasn't even any type of formal bid. Only if we then manage to increase our yearly incomings, or sell again. £120m frees up £120m if you don't increase your income.

But you know with regular reviews it goes in cycles. You get your review and tgen it goes up or do you always expect an immediate upgrade. Certainly can't remember it happening elsewhere in football.

No idea who he is and they all lie, but guy currently on sky sports has just said we have been trying to get him to talk about a new contract for ‘months’ but it’s isaks side who haven’t come to the table.

He was going to go next summer but the way this has come about now off the back of a quite frankly embarrassing window so far is a real kick in the nuts. Plus if he’s sold now clubs are going to know we’re desperate for signings.

That's a big leap, it's the club that has said he has a minor injury so far. Suspect it will become clearer in the next few days

Over the long term yes, but in the short term it gives us huge leeway until the club manages to increase our income.
