Jaqen
We come out of it looking really amateurish, like. Insisting all window he's not for sale and now seemingly inviting low ball offers after letting Liverpool sign his replacement first. Thought last year was bad enough getting mugged off by Parish all summer.
Stottie
Imagine being too good for us but wanting to go to a team Trent, Konate, MacAllister, and Diaz don't want to play for. That's just the ones where it is publicly known. My fear is that this is actually a sweetheart deal for Liverpool to let Salah go to a PIF club in Saudi. Barnes23
Isak has really screwed us here, in terms of both the timing and the manner of how he is going about engineering an exit. I'm not sure why so many are rushing to defend him. There's a reason why most assumed there was a definite possibility of an amicable parting of the ways next summer and that this could in many ways even be described as "logical". This is very far from that.
JoeyBartoon
The club have got to take the Levy approach here. If he wants to leave, it’ll have to be abroad. What a disaster

Guybrush
What a roller coaster today has been. I'm now at the stage of praying to evil incarnate itself, Real Madrid Football Club, to snap him up.

Cartel clubs will be spending about 2b this summer. Totally unprecedented levels of spending. I still think we could smartly re-invest that money on players that would improve our first team - similar to the ones you suggested earlier. It should be possible. Joelinton7
Liverpool fans being so short sighted they can’t see where this is going. There’s a food chain in football and they’re not at the top of it. Trent says hi. They’ll be burning their Isak shirts in a years time when he inevitably ends up at Madrid.

soyt
And there we were, laughing at entitled Liverpool fans for somehow thinking they could get Isak. And all along he actually wanted to go there. Depressing stuff to say the least. What a summer this has been. Well, the Etikite bid from us makes much more sense now.

oldtype
FWIW I’d hold on to him for now if only because it makes no sense to make such a monumental decision while the club’s executive team is in transition. We may not get the best deal, we may struggle to find a replacement, and it’s not the best way to start off a relationship with the incoming staff to sell our best player without their input. He seems like the type to understand this if it’s explained to him and we let him know we plan to sell him next year. It’s not like he’s going to refuse to play in the freaking champions league because we didn’t sell him to Liverpool.
