It's not unlimited, they don't want Nunez so they are left with no forwards. Our cunt plus the French cunt makes 2 cunts which is about what you want.

Aye I suppose so, they do currently have Nunez though and he's been playing and scoring in their first couple of pre-season games. It's just so unusual to see a club buy two mega-strikers in the same window.

Makes me wonder if they tapped him up, met months ago and plotted everything between them scouse dick heads and his agent, if so, hope we can get them in bother over it.

The biggest let down is Isak knowing all of this but waiting literally until the new season is upon us, knowing Wilson was going out the door, and we have no striker.

Thanks Alex

100% they did - already been reported they spoke to Ekitike in January you can bet that they spoke to Isak as well

Respectfully though, how on earth do we move onto the next phase?

We've had arguably our best Premier League season and our star striker wants out to a club that has already spent more in one summer on two players than we've spent in an entire window, ever. I get it 'takes time', but if someone could genuinely explain to me how we get close to those teams I'd love to hear it. We were dreaming of finding a more consistent replacement for Callum Wilson, Liverpool and Chelsea are potentially dreaming of spending between 2-300m on forwards alone.

Even if the argument is that Liverpool are league champions, we were three points behind Chelsea this season. They've already spent 250m and are potentially open to splashing 150m on Isak.

I can sort of understand a financial disparity between top and bottom of the league, but how have we let the league get to a place where the likes of ourselves and Villa are spending pennies on the pound compared to teams that are just a place or two ahead of us?

We just have to keep going. The fee will no doubt allow us to better fill out the squad with greater depth and decent quality replacements. I think we'll still be a good team and in position to challenge for a top 4/5 place.

I think for now that's just what it is. Until we start making bigger strides off the pitch on the commercial side, or until PSR gets scrapped.

Then lets see what the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool actually look like once the games start. Chelsea prior to last season had spent a billion and it wasn't very convincing frankly. They barely finished ahead of us, and it was largely down to our lack of depth.

I've mostly felt depth has been our biggest issue, and so it will be interesting to see how next season goes if we can address that to a greater extent.

Eikitike isnt a mega-striker. He had one good season and has potential.

You will never get the truth from an official source on this, you have to piece together what's happened yourself. If you have a suggestion to what you think has happened I'm down to read it.

You really don't, you could wait and see how it plays out rather than instantly assuming the worse case scenario.

I have no idea what's going on since I'm not privy to any information, just personally would wait until he's gone, if he goes, before battering him based on highly likely made-up speculation at this point.

To be fair, he could well have asked to leave at the start of the window, and this is now his final attempt to force it through.

If this goes through, I'd be absolutely floored if we didn't expect it to be a very strong possibility at the start of the window.

I don't think I could cope if we sold to Liverpool.

It's like cutting your nose of to spite your face, going on and on about cartel clubs, psr etc, then handing your prize asset to the creators of such bollox.

Fuck this premier league, im sick to the back teeth of it, complete bullshit rigged nonsense.

I am catching up mate but why do you think Isak has refused to travel? It will have been Eddie’s decision.

We are miles behind. Isak closed that gap. The whole league is a joke now. It’s a 4 team league and the rest make up the numbers. At least under Ashley the club had itself to blame. This…this just seems pointless.

All other things aside, Liverpool would be an amazing team.

the fucking cunts.

Was just thinking what their team would be next season if they got him.

Alisson; Frimpong, VVD, Konate, Kerkez; McAllister, Gravenbech; Salah, Wirtz, Ekitke; Isak

?
