There is absolutely no way he can play for us again now, he's crossed the rubicon.

I loved the guy, he's the best player I've ever seen adorn our colours but as soon as you've publicly declare that you want to leave and undermine the club/manager in doing so, there's no way back.

No matter who they are, the message needs to be clear that no one player is bigger than the club.

Perhaps should offer Barcelona, Madrid loan with mandatory purchase by end of next June (assuming cannot afford now) which will mean we are covered PSR wise and can spend the money. Whatever, if we are selling then we should refuse to do so until we have a replacement (in addition to Wissa) securely lined up

FWIW I dont think Howe will care where he goes nearly as much as we do. He has two options in front of him. Manage an unhappy player who could suck the joy out of a hugely cohesive squad with great moral, or lose him and have a wedge to re invest. You cannot convince me as he lands in Asia he doesnt want the later. 

 

One other factor, which I dont think Ive seen mentioned is Howe and Richard hughes (Their sporting director) worked together for years and years, I wouldnt be shocked if this move and the call last week doesnt have Howe's blessing

Yeah, if he is flat out refusing to take part (which it really looks like he is) then that's properly shit, can only logic it away by him not wanting to take a chance of injuring himself before a big move. Which turns my stomach to type . Honestly, losing Carroll the way we did has numbed me forevermore

He rejected 200k/wk if those same reports are accurate. He'll get 300k easy elsewhere, and is likely worth it. That's £5.2m a year difference.

Howe. And he'd absolutely be an idiot, yes. You don't sell your best players to Liverpool, it's not some sort of abstract concept. Isak can want away all he wants, let him train on his own until his attitude changes.

applying that logic, he wont want to win against everton. As I outlined in last post, I really think we care way more than Howe about where he goes.
