I must be in the minority here when I say I don't want him here even if he was to sign a new contract. What kind of example is that to set on the rest of the squad?

Nope, I completely agree. Get rid, rebuild and get on with it.

I don’t think there’s any evidence that Gordon wanted a Liverpool move, or at least that he threw a hissy for not getting it.

However, this would make back-to-back summers that Liverpool’s rattled one of our most important players. They can get fucked.

I agree, but on here people were queueing up saying his head had been turned at his poor showings end of last season, which was complete nonsense imo

The comment in the article raises a good point. If he’s pushing for a Liverpool move, then why now? Surely Isak would have been pushing for a move earlier in the window before Liverpool splurged so much.

Many twist and turns ahead on this one I think.

I’d rather he leaves this summer, than having a half arsed player who leaves next summer anyway.

Will be sad to see him go but honestly cant blame him.

Looking from the outside in, our transfer strategy and actually signing players seems shambolic, actually anything we seem to do takes a fucking age.

I’ve said, I now want him to go but not to Liverpool

Any cunt who sings You'll Never Walk Alone next month should have their season ticket revoked. Minute silence for the Jota tragedy then make it absolutely horrible for them.

We don’t need that either. It’ll be their third competitive game. Nothing to do with this like.

Don't blame him for looking for a big contract - one of the best out there at the moment and we as a club need to match his ambition. The wage ceiling is just a symptom of where we are at as a club (PIF being another debate altogether).

If we're looking to point fingers I'd personally look no further than Richard Masters and his merry fucking cabal.

Minority but not alone. I don't even care if he leaves for Liverpool.

The optics of desperatly hanging on to a player who wants to leave is imo worse than selling him for a record fee to the title winners. Reeks of minority complex.

Why are we even doing that for them?  It'll have been well over a month since the tragedy. They'll have had a home game before that where they can do their own minute silence. They expecting every club to do that for them? Probably are because it's Liverpool.

The fucking hysteria man [emoji38] a player wants to move for more money and more trophies. Fucking get over it. The cryarsing about Isak and other teams' fans is absolutely pathetic.

I’m confident no-one on here would change their employer for 3x their current salary

That Liverpool game is going to be an absolute bear pit when Isak and Ekitike are up front for those cunts

Would have looked forward to it but it's Isak who was our equaliser in those games previously. They fucking dreaded facing him.

You know for a fact this now hands the initiative to Liverpool to low ball some offers.

Don't think they would want to provoke us. Our owners aren't going to bend over like that.

We will get a decent fee or it's not happening.

Feel sorry for Arsenal fans the most in all this.

Me to, defensive midfield loving wankers only really chance of a world class striker and they blow it.

I dunno. I’ve seen Arsenal fans already claiming Gyokeres is better and using stats from that joke of a league to somehow prove it

They have to figure out those levers off the pitch at some point.

If that means eventually taking the Premier League to court like Man City have then so be it.

For the meantime all eyes are on what comes of the ongoing case Man City have, and so we'll see how that one plays out.

Perhaps you're younger than me but that sounds like a glacial pace.

Even the top clubs ability to sell academy talent is built upon their ability to hoover up talent from lesser clubs. Liverpool made 10m+ from Bobby Clark. They already have the advantages, PSR is just another one.

How is it? If we dig in, get him a new deal, that shows us as being weak? :D Not that we still mean business?
