Fuck him. He’s essentially went on strike to force a move.

He could have left a hero - his goal won us the cup - but nah, he had to be a cunt about it. He could have privately told the club at the start of summer but he’s timed it terribly and I have no sympathy if we make him rot all year in the U21s. We won’t of course, but I wish we had the bollocks / Financial position to do that.

Look at Guehi last summer. Reportedly told people he was expecting to move to NUFC but it didn’t happen nor did he force it. Loads of us wanted him too but probably all respected he was a professional contracted to Palace - IE the right way to do it.

Fuck him twice over. Tell him it’s abroad or nowt, and £150m + before we even get to the table. Oh and donate his wages to charity, fucking wanker.

However, if we could sign a few top level players who are yet to reach his level with the fee, it definitely could be a case of one step back to take two forwards. Sadly, I think the person we perceived to be the answer has just signed for Liverpool.

Total mess all around and I’m not having it’s just Mitchell to blame as well. Time for PIF to run the show and take a front seat.

Get Al Hilal to put in an offer that we would accept from Liverpool. Accept the offer and tell Liverpool they can match it if they want to otherwise no deal.

alternatively ask Big Joe to “persuade him” to sign his contract

Any legs in the fact his house was done over and he genuinely doesnt feel safe etc? Physiologically his heads gone with the place because of it?

Not that moving to Liverpool would help mind

Just me adding to the speculation with no facts whatsoever...

Preferred outcome:

1. Sell him to Saudi

2. Offer him a new deal.

3. Sell him to outside the PL

4. Sell him to anyone but Liverpool

5. Let him rot in the reserves.

6. Sell him to Liverpool for £200m

PIF Saudi clubs need to come in immediately with a world record bid.

PIF need to bring Staveley back in and immediately remove Solis and Eales. This includes sacking Solis from PIF completely.

anything else is unacceptable. Either do that or fuck off PIF

Solis just seems a total weapon.

All these signings could back fire on Liverpool. They are basically doing a Chelsea

Nah their squad genuinely needed refreshing. They've done that and some.

We don’t know how it’s gone behind the scenes.

Minority but not alone. I don't even care if he leaves for Liverpool.

The optics of desperatly hanging on to a player who wants to leave is imo worse than selling him for a record fee to the title winners. Reeks of minority complex.

Those optics that have happened countless times, clubs have not gave a second thought to, and rightly so because it's never amounted to anything.

Thin Isak needs to be really careful how he proceeds with this tbh. Got no objection to him wanting a new contract and more money - he deserves it tbh. I also understand that he'd be pissed off if he was promised one and it never came.

That said I'm really disappointed in the way he's gone on here and made it into such a big issue. He's gone public now about exploring his options - again, fair enough he wants cups, medals and trophies etc, I get it. However he's also under contract for the next 3 seasons and those should, statistically, be some of the best of his career. The way he's going on isn't endearing him to the people who own his registration and I think Yasir is the type of bloke to let him rot for a while just to make a point. He's asking for something but he's in no position to demand anything, contracts work both ways. Best outcome is he signs a new one here but that's looking very unlikely, but he's making a mistake if he thinks he can strongarm his way to the club of his own choosing. Any deal needs to be right for the CLUB first, last and foremost.

Based on Twitter crackheads and forum injury experts?

His agent could just be negotiating for a deserved pay rise.

And even if he does want to leave to compete for a Galactico style club (no timeframe stated either from the crackheads) - yes it'd be a shame, but there's no thanks for: humiliating Arsenal, the coldest celebration ever or scoring the only trophy-winning goal of our lifetimes? Just name-calling?

I just think jumping to calling him every name under the sun at a point when we remain so in the dark is not right.

People can react how they want, I suppose.

It’s been utterly embarrassing to read.

If I were a player and I saw that the "best fans in the world" with "support unlike anywhere else" completely turned on a player they loved, calling him a cunt, a traitor, and worse, before he even had a chance to speak - I'd think twice before joining.

Any of us would be fuming if we were promised more money and then didn't get it.

This is the biggest test of PIF's ownership yet. Just as it looks like we're starting to pull away from the PSR struggles. If this has been brewing the last week to ten days or so couldn't it explain some of the transfer inertia ?

Tell you what’s massively underrated lads? Putting your phone down and going outside. I did it for a few hours and almost forgot about this absolute shit show.

Five stars. Would recommend.

We can't sell him to Liverpool for less than £250m imo.

Would listen to lower offers from elsewhere, but surely we've got to hold out for £180m+?

I don't want him to go, but he's one player and we can't lose the place over someone wanting to leave. We've just got to make the exit as advantageous as possible.
