I think it’s hard to say that ‘any of us’ given the chance to play centre forward for Newcastle, be adored by the fans and be paid 120k a week would be ‘fuming’ I for one would be pretty ecstatic. I’d take 150m from any cunt if we can reinvest it wisely in this window. In the cold light of day it’s PSR solved in a heartbeat for a player who is somewhat injury prone and doesn’t want to be here. If we give him a king’s ransom, all the other high performers will want a rise and break our structure.

I’ve kind of already moved on. Just hope it ends in the best possible way for us, at our terms. I’d be more gutted about losing Bruno or Tonali for example.
