we have to set a deadline for Liverpool. either close the transfer before their Community shield match on the 10th of August or forget it. cant see how it benefits us to have this linger on and not knowing it will happen or not even after round 2 in PL.

will be quite a feisty feeling at St James Park in 2nd round Newcastle v Liverpool game lol on the 25th if August.

Sounds like the deadline is more related to us than Liverpool at this point. We could probably call them tomorrow if we wanted to sell him.

Just me or has everyone sensed a mood change in the media today. Far less bullish this is a formality and leaning more towards him staying?

In all honesty I think the case hasn’t changed. We don’t want to sell him, he’s spat his dummy out under order of his agent, and it’s not working.

I think the media are starting to realise it’s not a formality as they have been instructed, and I think he him as a player and his agent are beginning to settle back so they can come back around for new contract talks.

As I was saying yesterday, it’s World Cup year, with his country facing a battle to get there and he needs to be available for them.

Also - don't underestimate the power and influence of his agent. A part from being a regular agent scum, his agent (as some others do I guess) has very dubious ties to criminal gangs in Sweden. This is all about money for Isak and last but not least his agent.

Interesting. Any sources for that?

No we don't set any deadline. Now why don't you retreat to your own forum where your scouse mates are

I mean, he hasn’t lied. You can love club and city, but then also be enticed by the increased wealth and increased chances of winning the major trophies.

He was tapped up in Jan when they spoke to Ekitike - convinced of it

"Isak continues with controversial agent" - as the title says, and you can use translate for the article itself. In short - Isak's sports agency broke up because of the agents' ties to criminal gangs who had (1) showed up with guns and shot at an agent's home and (2) bombed a car near anothers house. Isak however continued with his agent, Vlado Lemic, who has also previously been found to have illegally received high sums of money in tax havens, for example in Cyprus, with connections to Roman Abramovich.

Why is that brilliant from Jordan? Hope is exactly right in what he was saying about Mitchell not being the right fit but better than no one.

Because I like the fact he wanted to hold him to account based on the fact the media do spin, and use a narrative, it definitely got Hopes back up.

Points can be true in Hopes defence, but he's a doom and gloom merchant, loves pushing a negative narrative as long as possible, plus it was exaggerated the Howe/Mitchell thing, obviously it didn't work out, but Hope relished in that story.

Plus as much as Jordan is a bellend, Hope is a total scrote equally.

I just enjoyed his reaction to criticism.

You would have thought UEFA/FIFA would have made it that at least one of those convictions forbid you from becoming an agent.

Definitely seems like the balance is shifting back towards us. Based on general ‘vibes’ 🤣🤣

Lemić is a real snake. But wouldn’t underestimate his skills based on his current rooster of players, been part of some significant deals.

Interesting - did not know of the PSV and Lemic. So he was basically ousted and banned from PSV due to directing the club in the shadows and too much influence. Then he started to work with Arnesen and Chelsea with Roman Abramovich money.

He’s saying pool will only bid if invited (they won’t be). Agitation has come from Isak’s camp, wasn’t pools intention to unsettle him. So imo at no point are we going to be open to a sale, so what is this all for? Get yourself back to training Alex.

Media seem desperate for some kind of 'saga' to write about and I understand why, they ned engagement. But a club continually saying 'no' isn't a saga but it does put us and how we deal with it in the spotlight and we've got to be strong here and play it by the book. If we cave then every single person will see it and take advantage in the future
