Isak basically had a free pass for every shocker he had including games where he just strolled around and looked liked he couldn't be arsed at all under the assumption he must be injured.

Those type of performances in the future would be viewed in a totally different light if he came back.

Players like Rooney or Suarez who wanted to leave are very easy to win fans back over with how they play. Both put in absolutely everything everytime they played.

Even if Isak stays, it will be his last season here. The club will take a pragmatic view and use him as the asset he is, and I would think he'd be professional enough to do his job while he's here, that's what really matters. In the meantime we can can prepare the ground to replace him with a striker of sufficient quality who wants to be here, and we can make sure Liverpool pay the right fee if they want him.

We can do all this in the next month if everything drops right, but at this moment it looks unlikely. Partly because of clubs like Liverpool buying up our long term replacements so they have only themselves to blame.

What if after all this. He and the club play it down  and say it was all noise from Liverpool. They knew in the background what was going on (him going to Spain for warm weather rehab etc was agreed) and he’s kept out of the “noise”

(wishful thinking I know)

Mentioned before, it's such an easy PR brush under the carpet from the club. Because neither them or him have come out with an official statement. It has been exclusively twitter shite.
The only official stance has been from the club stating he has an injury and that Howe wanted to protect him from the speculation so allowed him to skip sitting in the stands of the Celtic game.
They also have consistently stated we want him to stay and that he isn't for sale.

So all it would take is if he does stay, is we would state that we allowed him to train privately while the club was away on tour to keep away from media speculation in the UK and to rehab his injury.

We all know more has been going on behind the scenes, but that would be more that enough for most folks in the ground to get behind him again and for the dressing room to welcome him back in.

Harry Kane, at nearly 30 and with 12 months left on his deal, went for about £100m.

No earthly reason we can't get more for Isak in 2 years time when you factor in inflation and that he'll be a lot younger than Kane was.

His agent wants Liverpool this summer, we don't know what Isak wants, however he didn't go to the Lake District to train on his own he went to La Liga

He wants Liverpool because no one else is in for him, if Barca or Real pr PSG came in for him and offered £300k pw or more he'd only want them too

It's so basic isn't it. Get more money for a year, leave the club a legend and with our goodwill and blessing. Help us win another trophy or/and get CL again and go on to the world cup and then get a big move to a giant club abroad next summer.

Nah im gonna tank all the goodwill built up, sour the memories of me for fans forever and undercut the club that took the initial gamble on me and gave me the platform to grow by refusing to train/play to help force the price down so I can move to a domestic rival.

He's getting right on my tits now like

Either come out & say i'm away or i'm staying, FFS its not all about him as much as he thinks it is, there's a multimillion / business being affected by his shiteness, never mind other players, supporters, potential sponsors etc etc etc

Pissing me right off now the entire fart on

He’s walking a tightrope so as to not burn his bridges so he won’t. No other club has even bid for him, he has 3 years left on his contract. We hold all the cards here. Think things should become a little clearer when the team returns from Asia. I still think (and hope) he’s here for one more season.

If one of the big two came calling for Isak, he'd pivot away from Liverpool in a heartbeat.

Don't know what player turns down Real Madrid / Barcelona if they legit put an official offer infront of you. It's the two clubs everyone in the world thinks about playing for, regardless of nationality.

He’s admitted in the past that he used to watch Henry at Barca when he was a kid, although he was an AIK fan.

If Barca come in for him then Liverpool will have as much chance of getting him as they think we have of keeping him now.

I’ve always been under the impression that he’d leave us for Barca, it’s why I never believed the Arsenal stuff, although their fans were fucking annoying about it.

The options are going to be so more open for Isak next summer (which helps us too), so I can see him staying with an agreement he can go next summer.

Even Bayern could be in the market for him because Kane will have one year left, and if they can get £50m+ for him, it gives them a run at a big money striker.

Depends if he wants to stay in the premier league or not

If he's staying in the PL then a club like Liverpool or maybe City would be the next logical step for glamour/money.

But I would imagine most players outside of England would dream of playing for Madrid or Barcelona.
