I haven't been keeping too up to date with this.

But what has actually happened and purely facts?  Has he actually gone on strike or not?

We find out next week when the players return to training in Newcastle

He was always that for me, that’s the difference.

bruno, Tonali and Barnes (personal level) are the only ones I care about fully

Fair play. I've always rated him highly, he's fucking exceptional and I adored his ability and play but that's not completely vanished (he's devastated, I'm sure!) but nah, he's now done. Halo has crumbled and he's just another player now, he's shown his hand this summer and it's a fucking ugly one. If he ever plays and scores for my team then I'll enjoy my team's goal but it won't be him I'm cheering, it'll be the goal he has happened to score.

If he never pulls the shirt on or scores again then so be it, I'll lose no sleep over the malevolent cunt

Fuck him, he’s a cunt and we will

always be bigger than him. Stick the cunt in the reserves for 3 years, waste his prime years .

Then let’s see who the big boy really is?!?

That won’t help us grow though will it

Hate this shit about he owes us nothing, we should be thankful we wouldn’t have won the cup or champions league. Well the cunt was plucked from fairly  average side in la liga and wasn’t exactly pulling up trees over there. Howe turned him into an absolute superstar .Despite his shit injury record he is  paid handsomely and he knows another big contract would be offered , adored by the fans and this how he repays everyone. The timing also less than a month before the league starts , he’s an absolute snake .
If we get Wissa and a suitable replacement for Isak i absolutely never want to see this prick in the black and white ever again.

I’m in a massive minority who blame the club much more than the player. I wouldn’t blame any of our top end players for wanting to join a club who actually seem to have ambitions.

Any player who can double their wages will want to join a top club who can pay them. We can have as much ambition as we want, PSR is rigged to stop us paying those wages. Not sure how that's on the club, what are they supposed to do differently?

These ”Isak told them this is his last year” things are total bullshit. Just keeps reappearing. He himself said in march new contract is a matter for summer.

What else could he say?  ‘Nah, I’m fucking off in the summer’?

I do echo that it will sour the memory of watching back that cup final and seeing him celebrate against them, if we then know 6 months later he forces a move to them. Something very Newcastle about that I suppose. We can't just have a good moment be left untainted [emoji38]

Been away for the past few days (brother's wedding) in this beautiful, football-less nirvana. Anyway, this summer has pretty much numbed me to football. I feel truly done. For work, fine. But a passion? No thanks.

So where are we at: Liverpool have stalled a bit, he's training with Sociedad because the others are in Asia, and he only leaves if we sign Sesko?

It’s patently obvious at this point that we weren’t after the likes of Pedro as a back up nor is Howe changing our style of play (that always seemed unlikely).  We must’ve known this was coming - it just makes Liverpool’s move for Ekitike all the more bizarre - had they left him to us, Isak would likely be at Anfield today.

Like the forest owner over MGW, it’s surprising by how you get respected by acting up for your club. Like I said, fuck him.

MGW following up with Spurs. This is who we need to be.

We'd still be haggling over the fee

thats what I said back in June, Ekitike is a replacement in case Isak is sold

and that’s also why I think Liverpool isn’t that optimistic re getting Isak. They chose to take the second option first, and see how Isak will react to the rumours. They know we likely won’t let Isak go but it will still benefit him if Isak choose to be a cunt.

For some reason, I have an old Depeche Mode song playing in my head.

The handshake seals the contract
From the contract there's no turning back
The turning point of a career
In Korea being insincere
The holiday was fun-packed
The contract, still intact

The grabbing hands grab all they can
All for themselves - after all
The grabbing hands grab all they can
All for themselves - after all
It's a competitive world

Everything counts in large amounts
