This has a feeling of the Andy Carroll.

I remember when the first bids of £30m were getting rejected and there were people on here going "get in Ashley keep knocking them back" only for hours later a few agreed for £35m and Ashley will chopper him in to Liverpool to make sure deal gets done in time.

The negative of this is probably that we have given the green light for them to start bidding and just waiting to meet the fee we are happy to deal on.

So sickening this whole thing and especially as we currently have Osula as our only ST :anguish:

Yep, the fact that they have had the confidence to bid tells its own story. It will be £135m + add ons that seals it.

Watch us end up with Jackson as the “replacement”. Shambolic doesn’t even get close to describing this utter shit show.

Genuinely surprised PSG don't want him

First of, I think Isak wants to play in the prem or maybe La Liga. Nothing below that.  Which will probably have been communicated by his agent at some point?

And tbf, PSG seem to have steered away from signing Galacticos and has a bit more sensible approach. They dont REALLY need another striker with Kolo Muani, Ramos and Dembele. Think they need to sell at least one of those prior to any big purchase. But this is just me guessing.

Personally think he'd be bored out of his mind playing in Ligue 1 week in and week out

That's utter shit btw,  I live there, in the city centre and its a brilliant city

Was there for a night out on Thursday, with a big group in an, shall we say ‘authentic’ bar. Had a great time (kept off football!) as I always have (in nicer establishments in the main).

Yep, think "we're in the Endgame now".

I do think now bidding has started, he'll end up there.

But, I also think we'll stand firm on the valuation, and it'll be very close to or the full £150m.

We MUST have 'replacements' signed/sealed lined up before we accept anything though, even making that a condition if we have to.

They'll win the league with the Judas Rat. He's worth £150m and they can afford it.

Right but who cares? Who cares if “Liverpool” win the league, again. Their fans obviously but it’s like “well done, you won a league with the only competition coming from the other team that’s allowed to spend £500m in one window”. Everyone else is playing a different game. Wish they’d all just been fucked off and not allowed back in after the super league shite they pulled.

Ollie Watkins. We honestly have no imagination in this market

No time - I don't see why the club should rush to find a replacement just to appease him.

Watkins would probably be the best ‘here and now’ replacement we could get.

Whether that would be a sensible use of funds for the longer term is an entirely different matter.
