Sorry, but it’s completely useless comparing Beardsley and Ferdinand to today’s market.

My error, I thought I was responding, admittedly with exasperation, to the idea that it was pointless signing a 29 year old top class striker with a couple of examples which—to anyone who watched them play for us—which prove exactly what the point would be.

It’s about building a great team not just about making a profit on every player.

Not if we spunk over 100 million on Watkins and Muniz etc. [emoji38]

We will still have a chance to regain our crown from Brighton as we'd only be paying 1 years worth of fees and wages on the books.

How I've missed these days trophy every year we are so back.

We simply won't get a true replacement.. It seems like all our suitable targets has already gone to the sky six teams, and Sesko will go there aswell.

Thing is we didn’t buy £150m rated PL experienced Isak. We bought a player with huge potential who’d shown glimpses of his quality. We have to remember that, we aren’t going to buy a player in that bracket.

With that in mind, Isak shouldn’t be ‘for sale’ whatever the offer and his contract should have been tied up last year.

Beginning to suspect the Ekitike buy was just to spite us but they went too hard for him and now can't pony up enough for isak.

They thought Saudi would buy Nunez, now they can’t find a buyer

Hopefully that’s because of Yasir pulling strings

Did notice that all Saudi interest in Nunez dried up as soon as all this started. May be coincidence, but would be nice if this is the first/only time we actually benefit from the PIF owning the Saudi league.

Hopefully this means that we already have a replacement lined up. Just can't see us selling without and I dont think Liverpool would make the move without us giving the all clear signal.

Better to get this shit over sooner rather than later.

I'm not convinved we are creative enough to pull off another Isak signing anymore.. Last summer was a huge sign of that. This summer (so far) it has become even more clear to us. We seem to be going after proven players or top targets in the market, and there is no sign of a plan b yet.

I'd love to believe the club have said one line and stuck to it all summer "not for sale".

But that's just not gonna be the case is it? Too much smoke without fire and all that.

Smoke from Liverpool, honestly man give your head a wobble
