I read Eddie’s words, not Hope’s journalistic spin and it’s still ambiguous. He sent him home from Celtic and didn’t know where he was spending his time away from the tour. He ddint quite say that Isak refused to go on tour just made noises about players behaving correctly. On Hope’s spin, it does sound like you are right but I still think Eddie is in charge and players have less leeway than you think. Their contracts don’t allow them just to take the piss completely and no one at the club wants the situation to get out of hand.

I’ve no doubt Eddie is in charge. He’s played it right from day 1. My whole point was Isak’s behaviour was a disgrace

And you'll be hoping you don't have to change your Avatar to DCL [emoji38]

Just read the actual statements put out on his behalf. All he's said is he'd like to explore other options. Of course he'll come back and train. He's not daft enough to burn his bridges, Liverpool might not even come up with the money for all he knows.

Tbf he's close to 'burning bridges' already by refusing to go on the pre season with the squad.  Absolute shit house move.

The cunt is going to rock up to the training ground on Tuesday laughing and joking like a tone deaf idiot thinking everything is okay.

Isak: “Good summer lads? Anyone been on any nice hols? Nice tan bullseye (Targett)”

Joelinton: “Here man, you pure rat. Put this balaclava on and gan on over into that corner so I can bray you. You fucking divvy”

When is google translate going to add Geordie? I suppose I could just ask @Mike.

Also got to remember that this summer was the prelude to (arguably) his most important season in his career. He's 25 now and hitting his peak, he's got a World Cup to look forward to in June/July and he chooses NOW to go on strike/feign injury/kick up a stink and force a move though? He's completely fucked his pre-season up by going on like a little cunt and he's going to have to get up to speed after the season has started. He probably won't give the first fuck but it's incredibly unprofessional and detrimental to his development and career to go on like this right now.

Good pros know how important a solid preseason is and he's chosen to completely skewer his own because he's had his head turned and taken some horrific advice. Wouldn't be at all surprised if he has a very very mediocre season whatever shirt the cunt is wearing

full quotes from the article fwiw:

Quote

You have to earn the right to train with us.

'We are Newcastle United. The player has a responsibility here to be part of a team and part of a squad - you have to act in the right way. So that is also at play here.

'We will make sure that any player does that to earn the right to train with the group. No player can expect to act poorly and train with the group as normal.’

‘Of course I'd like him to be (there), but whether he will I don’t know at this moment in time,’ said Howe. ‘We have been here with the time difference, preparing for training and for games. Other people have been dealing with that situation back at home.’
