As much as he may very well have acted like a complete twat (we don’t know the facts yet) the amount of vitriol towards Isak on here has surprised me a bit. Have a look at how many goals we scored when he was missing last season and season previous. His brilliance has basically dragged us to CL and a cup win.

Put yourself in his shoes. Everyone is telling him he’s the best striker in the league if not the world. He’s getting paid significantly less than dozens of vastly inferior players at a club that is an absolute mess off the pitch and can’t / won’t match his ambitions on it.

He might have acted like an utter twat. I just think judgment should be reserved.

He's most likely acted like an entitled prick, and he has done great damage to the club. But he is about the biggest asset we could possibly hope for. If there is any way back for the season, then there you go. If not, then the cunt is still the biggest asset we have with 3 years left on his poxy contract. If he goes, it should only be on our terms, or he can fucking stay for another season.

He waited until the worst possible time to do this. It’s left us in more of a mess than we already were. He’s refused to travel and now training alone. Fuck him.

Just heard the bloke on SSN suggest in conversation that isak's price could be lowered as he's been 'ostracised by the club'. There's absolutely no suggestion that's happening but it's the narrative that's now out there and actively being pushed.

Whole thing is fucking infuriating tbph

Eddie is making him train alone. He said it before he was back you have to earn the right to train with the group whilst in Asia.

And Isak is helping push that narrative.

We should ostracise the media. Ban them from the stadium, training ground etc.

We absolutely don’t know that. He could have intimated to the club months ago that he was considering leaving.

Poor wittle Alex being ostracised from the club who he's quite happily fucking over to the point we are scrabbling around an already meagre market getting quoted ridiculous money for shite.

And on that last part, we have the press actively trying to reduce nufc's price for isak like we are being shan, just fuck off man[emoji38]

Wouldn't be surprised if we see a scenario where he's still here in September, signs a token extension but with a release clause of around £110-120m next summer and a bit of a pay rise for a year before he goes.

Do we need to pay him anything more? Surely we can get around 110-120 next summer still?

He's in (or at least should be) no position to make that decision. The way this is all talked about is honestly mental

Absolutely no suggestion from them at all that Isak is the one driving it. No suggestion Liverpool have done anything untoward or tapped him up or are encouraging this. The whole holier than thou image they push is stomach churning. We're being made out to be the cunts in this whole story when it's our player who's been tapped up and it's isak being a cunt despite clearing £130k a week in the process.

Burn it down. Fuck the whole lot of them. I'd jack the price up every single hour and fuck his career in the process. Actions need to have consequences

So much for big bad Saudi as well, btw. Absolute load of kittens. Obviously, they are twats for many reasons, but the way people go on about Al-Rummayan you think he'd be threatening to break Isak's dad's legs over this. A player & his agent seem perfectly fine to take the piss.

Wouldn't be at all shocked if there's some kind of KSA-FSG agreement here. They get Isak for a few years, they then sell him to KSA in line with Vision 2030 or whatever it is.

Liverpool’s media operations have been incredible. They have everyone turning the screw for them

The club absolutely do not have to give it any attention whatsoever though. You just hope they aren’t divvies.

Doesn't matter that the ultra biased media keep reporting Liverpool's agenda. We hold the players contract and it's up to us what happens. He will still be here in a months time; and if he isn't, it's due to us getting two replacements of the required quality standard and then that our valuation has been met to the penny.

Makes going to the Austria training camp seem odd?

We don’t know the facts behind any of it. It could easily have dragged on until breaking point or the club had reneged on whatever assurances were made when he expressed wishes initially, for example allowing him to talk to Liverpool when replacement X who eventually went elsewhere was secured. He’s very possibly acted like a twat as I said but we’re just in the dark and a lot of the factors we can be certain of completely justify him wanting to leave.

I wish we'd come out and speak on it, about how clubs are using agents and paid reporters to do their dirty work, how the media incessantly paint us in a negative light and constantly try to sell our best players (watch Tonali be next summers "unsettled star") and how we're tired of it and actually come out with something resembling balls but we're too bloody nice.
